A great time in Siem Reap - Fantastic experience with Thanut and his team! Thanut is knowledgeable, thoughtful, and passionate about what he does. The best thing about our visit to Siem Reap with Thanut was the flexibility he gave us. If we saw a spot we wanted to stop and visit, he'd detour and show us. Or he'd think of something that might interest us and work it into our schedule, such as the visit to the local palm fruit bakery where he bought us some delicious cakes. It was more like being on a road trip with a friend than like being on a tour. The worst thing about booking with Thanut was that it was too short 😂. Seriously, if you're visiting Siem Reap and want to have a knowledgeable, thoughtful guide to show you around, contact Thanut through WhatsApp, +855 69 596 585 Five stars, highly recommended!

Great day of temple viewing - We had a great tour with Thanut and Handsome. They took us to four great temples - and also to a traditional Cambodian village where we enjoyed some amazing local snacks and saw how they were made. The temples are incredible, it's so amazing to see the craftsmanship from so long ago. There were monkeys too! The car was comfortable and they kept us well supplied with water. Really recommend his services.

Angkor Wat Made Awesome for Kids and Adults - Voleak was fantastic! He brought the history and wonder of Angkor Wat to life for our two families, including four kids aged 7 and 9. Even in the heat, he kept things fun and engaging—with great stories, creative photo ideas, and just the right pace to keep both kids and adults happy. Highly recommend! And a big thanks to Thanut, who organized everything seamlessly over WhatsApp and was always just a message away.

Amazing Experience with a True Local Guide - When I began planning our four-day vacation to Siem Reap, I also began researching tour guides. When you’ve gone to as much trouble as it takes to get to Cambodia, you don’t want to miss any highlights, and you probably could use some help navigating the culture. You need Thanut. I asked Thanut to plan a four-day itinerary that would give us time to relax and enjoy our resort but also allow us to see the most important sites in and around Siem Reap. Of course, we wanted to see the Angkor Wat temple complex. But we told him that we favored local, authentic experiences over cookie cutter, tourist excursions. He delivered. Day One: We arrived in Siem Reap in the afternoon. Thanut picked us up at our hotel and took us on a food tour in the early evening. We went to three restaurants, one street food vendor, and a bar. At each restaurant Thanut ordered dishes we probably would never have ordered on our own and explained what made them characteristically Cambodian. He was a charming dinner companion, and I could tell we were going to have a great vacation. Day Two: Thanut arranged for a temple licensed guide to pick us up at our hotel at 4:30 am and set us up for a sunrise viewing. The guide, Mr. Lucky, was great. We were with him from 4:30 to 1:30 and enjoyed every minute. He also took some wonderful pictures of us posing at the beautiful temples. He had cold water, ice cold towels, and snacks on board the tuck tuck. And he took us to one rest stop where we ate the picnic breakfast our hotel had packed and later to a different rest stop for a snack. I worried that one day of temple touring would not be enough. But Thanut assured me that it would be plenty, and he was right. Day Three: Thanut picked us up at our hotel at 8:00 am and we spent the morning touring the Cambodian countryside with him. This turned out to be a highlight of our trip. We went to three working farms, met the owners, and saw how they supported their families through hard work and dedication. We especially enjoyed the mushroom farm. Thanut took us to a village market where we met his wife and mother-in-law at her store. It was a Buddhist Holy Day, so we drove into a temple yard and saw some ceremonies in action, including a monk pouring buckets full of water over the head of a worshiper. Through an open door we saw white robed monks and nuns chanting. Thanut was very respectful and we never got out of the tuck tuck or took photographs, but it felt like we were seeing something truly authentic. We finished the day with a light lunch at a picturesque restaurant adjoining a huge and beautiful lotus field before heading back to town. Day Four: Thanut arranged for us to attend a cooking class. We have taken cooking classes all over the world, and we thought Savuth’s class was one of the most authentic and enjoyable classes we have ever attended. Savuth picked us up at our hotel at 4:30 and took us to a local market before bringing us to his outdoor kitchen in the countryside. Thanut joined us there for a three-course feast that we (mostly) made ourselves. We got home about 8:30, satisfied and sleepy. It was a great way to conclude our Siem Reap vacation. We live in Phnom Penh and will be there for at least the next three years. This won’t be our last trip to Siem Reap. There is still more to see and do there. And we are hoping our friends and family will come visit us in Cambodia. One thing is for sure, we will ask Thanut to guide our visits every time we go to Siem Reap. He is absolutely the best.
