It is a Hindu temple built in the 11th century under the rule of king Suryavarman I. Although partly collapsed and looted it is famous for its well-carved lintels and pediments.

Our excursion begins from the city of Siem Reap. We’ll cover a distance of 164 km to reach Battambang, a trip that usually takes around 3 to 4 hours by vehicle. Our excursion begins from the city of Siem Reap. We’ll cover a distance of 164 km to reach Battambang, a trip that usually takes around 3 to 4 hours by vehicle. Beginning our day at Wat Ek Phnom, an 11th-century temple that’s partially in ruins and located 11 km north of Battambang. Later, we’ll make our way into the city of Battambang to explore the local market.
Next, we’ll journey on a bamboo train, which is a former railway line now turned tourist spot, towards Ta Prohm Krong Koh. Lunch will be followed by a visit to the 12th-century Wat Banan temple, located 25 km to the city’s south. The day concludes with a visit to Phnom Sapeuv, where we’ll witness bats flying out at sunset. The tour ends as we make our way back to Siem Reap.
