- Pilatus Luzern - From Lucerne’s train station, take bus no. 1 heading towards Kriens/Obernau. After an 11-minute bus ride to the “Kriens, Zentrum Pilatus” stop and a brief walk, you’ll arrive at the valley station in Kriens. The Panorama Gondolas will take you to the Fräkmüntegg middle station in 30 minutes, where you can try the rope park or the Dragon Glider (additional costs apply). Switch to the “Dragon Ride” aerial cableway for a 5-minute ride to the summit. At Pilatus Kulm, you can enjoy panoramic views of Lake Lucerne and the Swiss Alps, relax in the panoramic gallery, unwind on the terrace, climb one of the peaks, or savor a local specialty at one of the restaurants (additional costs apply). The world’s steepest cogwheel railway will take you back down to Alpnachstad in 35 minutes. From the valley station, board a boat cruise on Lake Lucerne, which will bring you back to Lucerne, near the train station, in 1-1.5 hours. You can also start the trip in the opposite direction, beginning with the boat ride from Lucerne. Be sure to check the timetable before your visit.

The tour is really well... - The tour is really well organized. I recommend people start with boat ride instead of ending with it. Also make sure to reserve tickets separately for cogwheel ride up the Mt. Pilatus. Also make sure to buy the connecting cogwheel ride...i mean you will reach Alpanchad at 10:49 am and you get to board the next cogwheel at 10:50 am...don't worry it doesnt depart till 11:15 am so book for 10:50 am cogwheel. Also the food up there on Pilatus is great. Carry water. It's cold up there so dress accordingly. Overall a great great experience. Don't miss it.

Amazing tour - great pace - Just finished this fantastic tour with Marcel our guide. He was very funny and answered all our questions! I traveled with my 81 year old dad and the pace was just right. Beautiful views and enough time to enjoy Lucerne and Pilatus. The boat tour was a lovely way to end the tour.

Mount pilatus golden toundctrip - Highly recommend the Golden round tour. Very easy to get the connections. Views were amazing, despite the rain! Cogwheel train was a great experience, but recommend booking a seat whatever time of year!

Spend some time preparing your timings for a great day! - Very enjoyable day - we travelled via the bus to Kriens and then took the Gondola up to the top of the mountain, then travelled back by the cog train to catch the cruise back to Lucerne. We travelled this way so we had a relaxing end to the trip AND we could gauge the timings better. We reserved priority boarding in the cog train so we arrived at the embarkation point 5 mins before the lake cruise departure…. Then worked our other schedule back from there. Some reviewers note that the self-guide instructions are vague but we found all the transport was clearly identified and easily managed. The Swiss also have plenty of assistants at transport hubs to ask for help - do ask! The trip is well worth the money and although we completed the trip in about 4 1/2 hrs it could easily be a much longer time if you travel more leisurely and take advantage of the other activities on the ascent/descent such as trekking/tobogganing. The trip starts and stops literally in front of the main rail station so ideal for day visitors to Lucerne.

Pilatus round trip - I was advised to beat the crowd to go opposite way to Pilatus, which you can do with this ticket. lucky I took a paper printed copy, for some reason barcode reader would not read from my phone. Going up Cable car first was awesome, I was at the top at 9 00 am if you get to Kriens at 8 30 am, catch no 1 bus in lucerne to Pilatus bus stop. I was on first dragon ride of the day, Check out vlog on YouTube @Aussies-on-dream-travel for full details. Cloud was already rolling in at 10 15 AM. I was ready to come down by Cogwheel train. I had booked reservation on train after 11 00am. It was so quiet doing it this way, I came down early at 10 15 am to catch boat back to lucerne from Alpnachstad. This way was great, there was huge line up here to go up by cog wheel train, it is possible by the time all these people got to top, they would have seen only cloud. This ticket was almost AUD$100 cheaper than tour and very easy to do by yourself, check out vlog.

Beware - fair refund not offered if train closes - The cogwheel trained closed on the day we were there due to cold weather on 9/29, so we were unable to complete the loop and had to take the ariel tram both ways. The views from the tram were awesome, and it is stunning at the top! However, I only received a partial refund (even though we were only able to complete 1/3 of the loop). So I would recommend thinking carefully before buying all the tickets at once. You may want to buy separately. If everything had been open, I am sure it would have been incredible.

Disappointing Customer Service - The experience was excellent. However Trip Advisor did a very poor job of advising the itinerary and times of the trip. We had to figure it all out and it was frustrating and confusing. I will not use Trip Advisor again as they took the fun out of the day. Shame on them. They took our money and dropped the ball on customer service.

fraudulent enterprise - Hello , I have just returned from cruise with itinerary Bordeaux/Paris CDG/Oslo/Tromso return Reykjavik and it is the most catastrophic return , already 2 stops less because of the bad weather I understand it but no compensation discount , After I do not receive my return tickets Reykjavik / Paris so as planned 48 hours before the flight , it is a Saturday ABcruise to absent subscribers so I return to the company Transavia which settles my worries during boarding I realize that I arrive in Orly and therefore the time to reach Roissy CdG I miss the plane , Air France charges me 1 flight for 2 people 690 euros + 150 euros of luggage and I had paid a round trip Bdx / Roissy total of the expenditure Bdx Paris about 1200 euros and moreover I paid more than 6000 euros cruise while all the French of this getaway paid half of this sum , I think and I realize that I was the turkey of the joke and laughing stock , it was my first cruise financially Ultra expensive , So be very careful. Plus they contacted me to tell me to remove my negative reviews and they were refunding me I removed the reviews ,but more news from Cruise
