• Bonaire - Cruise Ship Passengers: Your guide will greet you with a sign displaying your first or last name at the cruise ship exit/entry gate where your ship is docked.

As you leave your ship, you will approach a security checkpoint gate. Once you exit the gate, walk straight ahead. Your guide will be there 15 minutes before your tour begins to meet you.

Non-Cruise Passengers: Please meet your guide at the reception, and if you are staying in an apartment, your driver will be at the address provided during booking.

• Kralendijk - At the start of the tour, we will introduce you to the downtown area of Kralendijk.

Downtown Kralendijk consists of a few streets and is easily walkable. Kaya Grandi is the main street, where you will find most shops, restaurants, and cafes. After the tour, we can drop you off in the center if you wish to shop and explore. If you’re on a cruise, the ship port is about a 5-minute walk from the downtown district, allowing you to easily return to your ship before departure.

• Harbour Village Marina - Harbour Village Marina is one of two marina facilities on the island where both local and visiting yachts can book moorings and stay on the island. It also serves as a refuge for surrounding boats seeking shelter and calmer waters during storms. We will share more about the Marina’s role during our tour.
• Trans World Radio Bonaire (TWR) - Trans World Radio plays a significant role in global radio and features a stunning mural that you won’t want to miss. We’ll provide more information on tour and offer you a chance to take a photo.
• Hato - Many of the island’s hotels are located in a neighborhood called Hato. We’ll pass through parts of this neighborhood and share information as we head north.
• Sabadeco - Here you will see some of the largest homes on Bonaire. Your guide will explain why people from around the world are moving to this area and why it is so highly valued.
• 1000 Steps - At 1000 Steps, we will stop so you can get out, walk around, and take pictures of the beautiful scenery and clear blue ocean. Whether you descend the steps to the sea or stay on top, you will enjoy a lovely view of the area and coast.
• Tolo Divesite (Ol’ Blue, 13) - Tolo Dive Site is one of the best dive sites on the island due to the large reef and schools of fish inhabiting this area of coral cliffs. From a distance, you will see intriguing boulder patterns, and your guide will point out outlines on the cliffs that show where the water level was thousands of years ago.
• landhuis Karpata - From the 17th century until 1863, Bonaire, like many Caribbean islands, relied on slave labor to work plantations and salt pans. Throughout the island, you will see remnants of this time that remind you of the hard work and hands that built the island’s economy during this dark period. Here at Karpata, you will see a building where women and children stayed during the week while men remained on the south side of the island for work—a 7-hour walk they sometimes undertook daily if unable to stay in the South.
• 6JC8+GQ2 - Like all places, oil and resources play an essential role in daily life on Bonaire. However, unlike many locations, islands do not allow for a natural supply found locally. Here at BOPEC, your tour guide will show you some of the island’s oil tanks and explain their placement on the island.
• Goto Lake - Goto (Pronounced Go - To) Meer is a beautiful protected reserve area where you will often see flamingos and native birds in their natural habitat. You will also see the sparkle of salt deposits and the dense greenery in this northern part of the island. As this is a protected area, we will not exit the vehicle, but you will have the chance to take photos and spot the flamingos. In the distance, you’ll see Brandaris, the tallest point on Bonaire, located in the Washington Nature Preserve Park.
• Rincón - Rincon was the first official town established in the 16th century. Here you will see some of the oldest buildings on the island, typical local architecture, and learn why this location was chosen many years ago to be the first official settlement when the Spanish discovered Bonaire.
• The Cadushy Distillery - You will visit a locally made liquor and spirits of Bonaire. Please remember that the distillery is open from 10 am to 5 pm from Monday to Saturday.
• Bonaire Landsailing Adventures - After Rincon, we will explore Bonaire’s windy and breathtaking east coast. You can feel the crashing waves and often see roaming wild donkeys. We’ll also pass Bonaire’s Land Sailing Adventure track, where you can see people zipping around in their sail karts.
• Seru Largu - We will be on top of a hill where you can see Bonaire from a high point in the middle of the island.
• North Saliña - This is the second oldest neighborhood on the island where the Indians have moved.
• Antriol - It is the largest neighborhood in Bonaire.
• Kralendijk - Here your guide will tell you more about the inner Bonaire main street.
• Bonaire International Airport - Here you will see our pink airport, and we will share information about tourism and flights arriving and departing from Bonaire.
• Te Amo Beach - Te Amo Beach, meaning “I Love You” Beach, is a beautiful public spot near Bonaire’s airport. It has a tranquil and sandy shoreline with easy access to the water.
• Donkey Beach - This is a lovely beach where local family and friends gather on weekends and for celebrations.
• Bachelor’s Beach - This is a local beach with very clear water.
• Belnem - It is a fast-growing neighborhood on the island.
• Delfins Beach Resort Bonaire - This large modern resort offers private beach access and a swim-up bar & restaurant for patrons.
• Punt Vierkant - One of the ancient lighthouses on Bonaire with great history.
• Hilma Hooker - This is a shipwreck, a famous spot for divers.
• Salt Pier - The Salt Pier is one of the most beautiful stops on the island! On your right, you will see our two-toned blue clear ocean; on your left, you will see pink water and Bonaire’s famous mountains of salt. We will stop here to take photos and allow you to ask questions and see the salt crystals and foam up close. At this stop, we’ll share information about the vital role of salt on our island and why this spot, in particular, is remarkable.
• Slave Huts at White Pan - At White Pan, you will see the Slave Huts built in the 1850s. We’ll take some time here to discuss the island’s history and unique corals. This will be our last stop. While driving back downtown, we encourage you to ask questions, and we will share more about the island.
• Te Amo Beach - This is the end of your tour. We will drop you off at one of the following beaches: Eden Beach Resort, Te Amo Beach, Bachelor’s Beach.

• Hotel or apartment guests: For the meeting, please meet your guide at the reception, and if you are staying at an apartment; your driver will be at the address you provided on the booking. Your guide will arrive at your pick-up location 15 minutes before the start of your tour to pick you up. We will notify you if there are any changes.
• Cruise Ship guests: Your guide will welcome you with your first name or last name on a sign in front of the cruise ship exit/enter gate where your ship is docked. As you walk away from your ship, you will be approaching a security checkpoint gate. When you exit the gate, walk straight forward, and look straight ahead. Your guide will be there 15 minutes before the start of your tour to collect you.
• Very IMPORTANT: If you don’t see your guide with your name, please stay at the gate of your ship and do not walk away and look for your guide, let your guide look for you.
• We GUARANTEE to have you BACK TO THE SHIP 1 hour before the ship departure time.
• This is a small group guided tour of up to 7 people per vehicle. You will be in a shared van, car, or pick-up depending on the number of guests.
• Our prices include a 6% government tax.
