of the most valuable examples of Podhale’s
traditional architectural style, which has
survived to this day in an almost unchanged
form. -
Gubalowka - Gubałówka is one of the most popular tourist spots in
Zakopane, located at an altitude of 1129 meters above
sea level. It is an ideal separate mountain range above
the town, frequently visited as a place for safe and
short hikes, both in summer and winter. Gubałówka
was once a home to highlanders who grazed their
sheep in the whole area. Now, it is a favourite location
for tourists to go to, attracting plenty of visitors to its
beautiful vistas and a wide range of entertainment
options. -
Krupowki Street - Krupówki is the main street and esplanade in Zakopane,
famous all over Poland. Approximately 1.1 kilometres
long, it is filled with restaurants, cafes, souvenir shops,
and local highlander craft industries. This vibrant city
centre captivates tourists’ attention all year long. Along
the esplanade of Krupówki, you can also find important
landmarks, such as the Church of the Holy Family and
the Tatra Museum. The street seems to be an ideal
starting point for any initial exploration of Zakopane, and
the funicular station for Gubałówka is located very near
the lower end of the street. -
