What a perfect day! - We are just back from 5 fabulous days in Krakow. we decided to visit Zakopane/thermal baths. We went online and booked through "get my guide". What we didn't realise was we only booked transfers to and from Zakopane. The "get my guide" website isn't great and its pretty misleading, BUT the details are there and we, like many others didn't pay for what we thought we did. I feel like most of the negative comments referring to this as being a rip off, are because people don't read the booking details (like us) when they initially plan/book the trip. There is no doubt about it that the website (which isn't anything to do with Krakow Direct by the way) is awful and needs to be better, but i feel like common sense needs to be applied. Paying £99 for two people going almost 2 hrs away, with thermal baths, cable car tickets, spending a full day there and then back is very cheap. Looking back i wasnt surprised that we'd not actually booked and paid for the full experience. We were lucky enough to be picked up by "Jack" the morning of our trip. He kindly, and very patiently sat and explained that what we'd booked wasnt the full tour and explained that we can purchase tickets in Zakopane for the cable cars/thermal baths. He was so polite, very friendly and was chatting to my husband on the way there giving him lots of facts/knowledge on Poland/Krakow. When we got to Zakapone he helped us select the correct tickets for cable cars and thermal baths. Without his his help, this would have been very confusing! We had the best time ever in Zakopane and we cant wait to go back. THANK you so much Jack, you were fabulous and we really appreciated your help. You are a credit to Krakow Direct.

9 hour trip but surprisingly how easy it was - If I’d read more about the tours available we would have brought our swimming gear as the thermal baths looked amazing, but then we would have missed the highlight for us if this tour. Michael our guide for the day did an excellent job, first taking us to Chochocol to see the beautiful wooden houses which look brand new but some over a 100 years old but are washed annually !!!!, we then dropped most of the party at the thermal pools , when the 5 of us left visited a local cheese maker in her small hut set just off the road on deep snow, it was so spectacular with all the snow covered meadows full of snow surrounded by very pretty snow covered pines too it was lovely no crowds of holidaymakers here as there were on the way up, Michael translated for us and we were then able to taste her cheese, as we were about to leave she came out with some toasted cheese and cranberries, they were delicious, after seeing no snow around Krakow it was a pleasure to drive through the snow filled valley and then on to Zakopane and a ride up the snowy hillside on the funicular and a lovely 2 hours spent in Zakopane town . Altogether a great day out

Poor experience in all - While the stops were nice, the tour guides did not do enough to add value. They did not really tell us anything about the places we stopped at, or give us any advice to improve our experience. In addition to this, they did not communicate important information about the trip to us, resulting in some having to quit the trip early in order to make it in time to a dinner reservation (the trip was 11 hours instead of 9, that it said when we booked). Due to a "miscommunication" with the thermal baths, we had to wait for about 30 minutes after arriving before we could enter. All in all, we were dissatisfied with the trip. If we had decided to instead rent a car and went to the same places, we could have gotten the same experience (as again, the tour guides did not really give any information, basically acting as only bus drivers) and probably saved both money and time.

Not to be trusted - tour took less as other people on tour had a problem with payments etc and wasted 2 hours. Due to this we could not go Gubalowka although admission was paid as part of the tour but there was no time. Tour operator first said he would give a part refund but then went against his own word. Operator not to be trusted
