“The City Inside the City” offers a historical narrative of the Jewish residents’ experiences in the Kazimierz district and the city of Kraków. During the guided tour, participants will delve into the lively daily life of the “unfinished city” and learn about the heroic figures of the Kazimierz district, paying tribute to their stories.
The exploration of the district will feature engaging tales about historic buildings, artistic coffee shops, Jewish synagogues (including the Old Synagogue, the Tempel Synagogue, and the Izaak Jakubowicz Synagogue), and the Jewish Cemetery. Furthermore, there will be a chance to visit some of the locations where Steven Spielberg’s Oscar-winning film ‘The Schindler’s List’ was shot.
