Impactful and educational - One of the most impactful and educational things I’ve done. Max, the bus organiser, was great despite having to deal with two full buses of people, and our tour guide inside the museum was brilliant and very knowledgeable.

Auschwitz-Birkenau and Salt Mine tour - We visited Krakow to celebrate my husband’s birthday and booked two excursions with the same company: a tour of Auschwitz-Birkenau and a visit to the Salt Mines. Both trips included hotel pick-up from our accommodation near Krakow’s Main Square. Auschwitz-Birkenau : Our pick-up was scheduled for 6:15am and, despite the heavy snow, the driver arrived promptly. We were then transferred to a larger minibus, which wasn’t an issue for us, but this wasn’t explained at the time of booking. The driver clearly explained the plan for the day, and our tour guide was excellent - informative, emotive, and very knowledgeable throughout. Auschwitz was extremely busy with multiple tour groups, but everything was well managed. At the end of the tour, the driver dropped us on the main road as the Main Square has limited vehicle access, gave clear directions , and we walked the short distance back to our hotel. Salt Mine Tour: The following day, we had the Salt Mine tour with the same company. Again, the pick-up was prompt and again we were transferred to a larger minibus. However, this time the driver provided very little information. On arrival, he simply mentioned we would have a 15-minute break—which none of us needed—but this turned into an hour of waiting with no explanation. We were also told that depending on the route taken inside the mine, we might exit at a different location, possibly near a church about 500 metres away. While queuing, our group was unfortunately split into two smaller groups to join with a larger group, entering the tour around 15 minutes apart. The Salt Mines involve a lot of stairs and substantial walking. The carvings and the underground cathedral are incredible, but much of the experience involves walking long corridors with little to see. At the end, our subgroup finished first and returned to the bus, expecting the others—who entered earlier—to already be back. Instead, we waited another 40 minutes, with the driver unfazed and reading his newspaper. Overall, the day involved long periods of waiting and the tour itself felt rushed. The driver also gave no indication of drop-off points on the return journey. There are many tour companies in Krakow, and perhaps our Salt Mine experience was an unfortunate one-off. However, it was quite frustrating. That said, the Auschwitz-Birkenau tour was excellent and very well organised.

Improveable - We booked this tour after another operator cancelled us at the last minute, so in the end we chose from the little that was available. Beyond Auschwitz, a must-see place, the organization of the excursion can be improved. A few hours into the excursion we are informed that the stay, which was to be at 7 am, was ahead at 5:45-6:00 am, so this means in terms of organization to the clients. The driver, excellent from start to finish. The visit, although it was great for the explanations and the story, was a little quick, we were like sheep seeing everything so fast that there was no time to read many of the signs that were around the compound.

The tour is immersive... - The tour is immersive and moving We were picked up at 5am to arrive on site around 7am. When we arrived, we had to queue for 2h30 to get tickets. Then it took an extra hour to get a guide. The result: a visit that did not start until 11am. Tickets are individual, with a quota per time slot: so you don’t start the tour at the same time as the other people in your group, nor do you finish together. The unfortunate thing is that our escort did not inform the whole group, and some were unhappy that they had to wait for the last ones before being able to return to Krakow. Still, the waiting time is worth it: the visit to Auschwitz camp (about 2 hours) and Birkenau (about 1 hour) remains extremely striking.

You can find tons of documentation and explanations online, but you want to feel history, see the reality, not just tel - There's been endless talk, but I missed so many things in Birkenau. We didn't see the most important remains. Nothing of the gas chambers, nothing of the incinerators at the back. I'm very disappointed with the very small area. I don't recommend it to anyone!

Bad experience - Booked x visit in Italian departing at 7am The day before they tell me visit in English In the evening message that the departure is brought forward to 5 Arrived at the destination I see that there is a guided tour in Italian for 11.15 and then I book and tell our companion He replies in English that the group enters at 10 am in English as a guide I ask if he's waiting for me at last Also in English he replies that the group leaves an hour before me and he returns to Krakow He tells me it's not his problem if I'm always stuck there in a bad way and always only in English Bad as an organization With 6 euros each we went back by train my wife and I at the end of the visit

Scam - They didn't correctly notify the pick-up time and left us lying to an entire group of travelers. We were at least 20 people

Nightmare - Very bad tour operator. We were picked up at 6am and dropped off at Auschwitz. We were asked to queue for 2 hours in the cold and told at the end that all tickets were sold out. We were asked to return to the coach and back to KRACOW. I decided to ask myself for tickets at the ticket office and I was given 2 tickets for the Auschwitz-Birkenau tour. The tour guide suggested to come back by bus back to Krackaw and ask for refund because he was so embarrassed. I did ask for a refund but declined and refused. Very very very bad customer care and not able to deliver what I payed for.

Terrible non tour experience - Tour departure was changed from 7 am to 5.15 am the day before so had to get up up at 4 am. Temperature was -10 degrees. Got to Austwitz and after queuing for 2 hours the whole coach load were told no tickets left. What a terrible way to run a business. Extremely disappointed and angry ☹️. I want a refund TripAdvisor
