Kalwaria Zebrzydowska Santuario - Kalwaria Zebrzydowska park is a Mannerist architectural and park landscape complex and pilgrimage park, built in the 17th century as the Counter Reformation in the late 16th century led to prosperity in the creation of Calvaries in Catholic Europe.
Karol Wojtyła, as a young man, and later as a priest, also made a pilgrimage to this sanctuary, which he himself mentioned many times.
The park, located near the town of Kalwaria Zebrzydowska, which took its name from the park, was added in 1999 to the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites. - Sanctuary of Divine Mercy - You will visit a sacred complex, connected with the life and activity of Saint Sister Faustina. The dynamic development of the Sanctuary took place after the beatification of Sister Faustina on April 18, 1993, and its canonization on April 30, 2000, and thanks to the pilgrimages of Pope John Paul II (1997 and 2002), Pope Benedict XVI (2006) and Pope Francis (2016).

John Paul II held many locations around the globe close to his heart. Nonetheless, there are three places that without doubt held significant importance for him. His hometown - Wadowice - where it all began and where ‘time camouflaged itself, yet eternity lay waiting’, the magnificent monastery and church of Kalwaria Zebrzydowska, which JPII instructed us to explore ‘during his lifetime and beyond’, and the Sanctuary of Łagiewniki - a place intrinsically linked with his message of God’s Divine Mercy, inspired by the sacred visions of Sister Faustina Kowalska.
