Great Thailand experience - Fantastic trip to do while in Thailand. Hot springs are the best, very cosy to chill in and plenty spots for when it starts to get busy. Emerald pool is cooler, wouldn’t spend as long here as the springs. The blue pool is another 400-600m walk from the Emerald pool, you can’t swim in it but it’s a beauty to see. Be warned it’s 1260 steps / 309 vertical meters to the top of the tigers temple. It’s a hard climb and some sections of stairs are really steep. The monkeys steal things so don’t get too close to them, they don’t like being photographed closely either. If you can make it up the steps the view at the top is incredible, you could look for hours.

2/3 are recommended - The emerald pool is very beautiful! But be sure to go on time, otherwise it will be very busy. The hot spring was nothing and was a disappointment for us. It was already full with 20 people and it didn't look as nice as in the photos. The Tiger Temple is very beautiful, but the stairs are heavy. Also do this in the morning when it is not so hot, so I would do this all separately and not book it as a 'package'. Tip for tiger cave: when you have climbed all the stairs and you are at the top, there is a water tap. Might save you having to lug a bottle up again.

If you are in krabi- do this excursion for sure! - Yesterday we did this full day excursion. We were picked up from our hotel at 8.30 and got back just after 5.its about an hour and 15minutes drive to the emerald pools.we were given 2 hours there and then had lunch just outside the pools.lynch was a chicken Tom yum soup which was really delicious followed by rice, chicken phad thai and vegetables and then watermelon and a bottle of water To get to the pools is a 800 meter walk along a sand path or 1400metres on a cement pathway.the walk is really nice as you are walking through to the forest.the pool is spectacular and nice and warm to swim in. The thermal springs is close by- probably a 15minute drive.we had an hour and a half there and the water is really hot .a beautiful setting in the forest.an amazing experience sitting in rock pools with hot running natural water. From there we went to the tiger cave temple and had 2 hours there. We walked into the cave where 4 monks were receiving gifts and offerings from tourists and then we tackled the steps. Yes they are very steep and yes there are 1237 plus a few more but the view from the top is spectacular. Take it slow and definately take water with you.ladies need to cover shoulders and knees.also wear comfortable walking shoes. We were exhausted when we got to the top-took about 45minutes up and about 20 minutes down. The feeling of accomplishment when you get to the top is hard to describe and the view makes you quickly forget how tired you are. Once down there is a little shop where you can get buy an ice cold fruit smoothie-so refreshing after the hectic climb. So if you are in krabi and have a day I highly recommend this excursion. We negotiated and paid 1600 baht which included the lunch and transfer in an air conditioned van. Dont be scared to negotiate- there are so many little kiosks selling excursions so bargain until you get the deal you are happy with.

Lovely green pool - This is a top tourist attraction in Krabi. The pool was overcrowded. Although they have different timings for tours. We got around 50 mins to swim. There was a lot of walking to do before reaching the pool. The pool was very slippery although they had kept ropes for climbing but still it was difficult. After swimming we went for lunch, which was very simple. Chicken and rice, and later a few slices of water melon. The trip itself was good. We paid 1200 baht.

Not worth going - The emarald pool and hot springs agree located 1hr 15 min from ao nang bay. Normally your operates take mini buses with 12 passengers. We were charged 600 bhat per person for both the places with 40 min at hot springs and 90 min at emarald pool. Both places are at 10 min drive from each other. You need to walk quite a bit too both places particularly emarald pool. At hot springs be careful of the sharp edges of the rocks . At emarald the periphery is quite slippery . If you are starting in a hotel with swimming pool and bath tub, no need of eating your time to these places. These places are a picnic spots for locals who are charged 10- 20bhat entry fee whereas foreigners are 130 bhats and 100 bhat each which are included in the package of tour operator

My review is for the actual venues, not... -
My review is for the actual venues, not the Tour guide The Emerald Pool was cool, but full of tourists. THE POOL IN THE AD PHOTO IS NOT THE EMERALD POOL, it is called the Blue Pool and it is not accessible during monsoon season roughly 3-4 months. The Hot Spring was good but full of Tourists which makes it sort of uncomfortable after a few minutes. Lunch was OK, but there are plenty of street vendors around. The tiger temple is cool, but be warned, you need to go up over 1200 steep steps to get the the actual temple. They do not tell you this in the ad. Overall, its good to make this your last tour before leaving vacation.

Rip off for Foreigner!!!! - This place might be beautiful but I didn't went in as they asked me to pay 10 times the price for Thais. On top we have been advised that the blue pool is closed (no discount has been offered) It's not about paying 200thb as a foreigner It's about the two pricing system in Thailand. Foreigner not welcome but their money, even as a Thai expat NO discount. I recommend that nobody should visit places like this double pricing place.
