Fresh water lake, winery, olive oil tasting. - We had such an amazing time on this tour! The lake, winery, and olive oil factory were the absolute BEST! And Aggeliki was the best tour guide EVER! She taught us so much about Crete! We would highly recommend this tour!

Great was to experience multiple fun and interesting locations. - We enjoyed our day with Aggeliki as our guide. She had great knowledge of Crete and is very easy to talk to and laugh with. She made us feel very welcome on her beautiful island and took us to some memorable spots. If your looking for a fun day with multiple experiences, I would highly recommend "Your Cretan Local".

This is the absolute best tour!! - I have no words to explain our fabulous day in Crete with Angie!! She was AMAZING! She is the owner and operator of the tour. We expected a lot and it was so much more! If you are visiting Crete, she needs to be your guide. She is the best! We are already trying to figure out how to get back here next year and have her tour us for days!

Private tour exactly as advertised but much, much more - We were a group of tourists hoping to at least get a hint of “real” Crete. Angie delivered and more so. The trip included the olive oil tour (fantastic - who knew lemons make everything better?), wine tasting at local event venue, and a trip to Lake Kournas. But Angie really goes above and beyond. Party of eight too big for her meticulously clean van? No problem, she has a second vehicle and communication system (subject to Cretan wireless capabilities) ready for you. Want to stay a bit longer at the wine tasting? No problem, she is on your schedule. Feeling a little snacky and thirsty after that drive to the lake? Angie has you covered with a local treat that you might have seen before but not yet tasted. Turns out your part really likes the local cuisine at the next stop? Well she probably knows how to hook you up with a special tasting. And might even be able to swing a reservation at that restaurant you were considering but hadn’t booked yet.
Truly amazing guide. If it’s in your budget, it’s worth every penny.

Must do while in Crete! - The owner/operator Angie is fantastic. She picked us up from our vila right on time in a sparkling clean Mercedes van. We had more guests than she could fit in the van (8) so another car with a driver was provided. As we headed to the olive oil producer she called over to the other car so that they could listen to Angie’s fun facts and history about Crete. The 6 the generation olive oil producer gave us a tour followed by a tasting. Next stop, a wine tasting and light lunch at a vineyard. Last stop a swim in a crystal clear fresh water lake with kayaks and paddle boards available to rent. We could have easily researched these stops and driven ourselves, but it was so worth hiring a guide. We learned so much more about Crete, and once we arrived at each spot, we had vip treatment (and no hassle looking for parking). We liked it so much that we hired Angie for a second day to take us to the village of Spila in the mountains for a coffee, then a beach on the south coast and finished with a waterfall in a gorge.

learning and tasting our way around Crete with a fantastic guide - Oh, Honey!. This tour, led by our now favorite Cretan, Angie, is a great way to learn about the island, the history, the people and its prized offerings. The winery was beautiful. WE tasted 6 wines accompanied by a wonderful little lunch. The olive oil factory was my favorite. We learned about all about making olive oil and growing olive trees. It’s a great tour and tasting. At Kournas lake, we rented paddleboards and had the most delicious lamb I have ever tasted. The snails were better than the French escargot. Angie is a friendly, funny, smart, and knowledgeable guide. We loved our time with her so much, we booked a second day with her. Her tours are a must. Meeting her is a gift. Honey, you gotta do this.

Crete Tour - Anjie was a wonderful tour guide and provided us with her knowledge of Crete as well as bringing us to the best olive oil and wine tasting venues on the island. Anjie, is native to Crete and is able to share her experiences with her guests which we very much appreciated. Anjie made us feel comfortable and we had a wonderful experience with the tour. A must do....

Everything exceeded expectations! - I can’t say enough about how great this excursion was! Angie was the ultimate host! She thought of everything and was so informative to us as she drove. Her van was total comfort and she made us feel very relaxed. She’s a local of Crete with excellent English. The lake, the winery and olive oil experiences all exceeded expectations! Would recommend her again and again. Frankly, we were sad for the day to end we so enjoyed our time together! We bonded in an unexpected way and I’ll never forget Angie and how she made our Cretan visit memorable. Until next time!
