Additional Information

The journey begins at the UNESCO World Heritage site, the Old Town of Kotor. Enjoy a 55-minute panoramic ride, showcasing the picturesque villages of Boka Bay, adorned with charming palaces, houses, churches, and the stunning contrast between the sea and mountains. We will pass through the narrowest part of Boka Bay, Verige, offering panoramic views of Lepetani, Bijela, the Luštica Peninsula, and the small island of Mamula, before arriving at the Blue Cave. Here, you will have 20 minutes to swim or capture photos of the turquoise blue sea inside the Blue Cave. On our return, we will make a 5-minute stop at an old submarine tunnel and spend 20 minutes visiting the Our Lady of the Rock church and museum.

NOTE: Please arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes before the activity starts. If you are driving to Kotor, be mindful of potential traffic jams and the challenge of finding a parking spot, so allow ample time to reach Kotor. For tours organized outside the summer season, please wear warmer clothing as the high speed of the boat can make it windy and cold.

Great boat trip from Kotor Bay - Really good trip, lovely boat ride with fantastic views. Very choppy at times so prepare for a bumpy ride! Lovely 20 minute swim near a blue water cave, water was very good for treading water in and could float easily on my back. The Lady of the Rocks was decent stop with €3 entry per person to the Cathedral. Submarine tunnels were very interesting stop point. Overall recommend this trip to people staying in Kotor for a few days. We were even lucky enough to see dolphins! Although not sure how common this is.

Great experience, great boat, great captain :-) - A great trip! Very nice, new and fast boat! The captain was professional and had interesting stories about the sites. Too many boats in the cave to swim there, but had an excellent swim right outside the cave. Music played during the ride, and a very nice visit to the artificial island. Will absolutely recommend this!!

Rough ride but worth seeing the blue caves. - We had booked well in advance but when we arrived it was very disorganized getting us on a boat. They had to move us a couple of times around the marina to find us an available boat. The driver was very quiet. He did do an excellent job of driving in the wake of another boat on the way back as the water was very very choppy and it was a very rough ride. All in all, we enjoyed seeing the blue caves.

Getting onto a boat was very disorganized but they did get us on. The blue cave is beautiful and we enjoyed the swim - It is a speed boat and water was very choppy so the ride was thrilling but this would not be good for someone with a bad back. The driver was very good and followed in wake of another boat on way back to smooth out our ride. Still a great experience for the money.

Smoking mandatory - 3-stars is “average” and that’s on target. No pre-tour communication; okay. Address takes you across from where the boats pick you up. Cross the street, at your peril, find the 2’x2’ kiosk/Sea Horizon sign amongst about 3-dozen other cattle-call tour providers. Be prepared to keep asking directions. Of 3 hour tour, 2 hours is driving on the boat from one place to the other. Boat meant for 10 but ours had 13; probably technically allowed 13 for safety but not comfort. Skipper will have zero words of information but will be smoking at any chance he gets so second hand smoking will be mandatory. Where you jump out in the sea blue grotto-adjacent and will have less looking out for fish and more that other boats don’t run over you; on board be prepared to help the skipper by helping to push off boats that get too close. Not sure that the blue cave is either blue or a cave. Our lady of the Rocks: Cool photo op. Have 1Euro if you need the bathroom. Submarine tunnel was cool. Boat was smooth. Had an average time and I’m usually pretty positive. Wish someone else had a review like this before I purchased. Oh, You will NOT return to the same place you were picked up (tho it says to the contrary). It’s about a 10 minute walk back.

Not worth your money! - This tour is a hit or miss. It says 3hour tour but with the amount you paid for? I dont think it is worth it. Let me tell you why. You will just go to Lady of the Rocks which is just an island for 20min, and another 15min to just very quickly see the Blue Cave and have some dip in the water. Thats it nothing special! We were disappointed for mainly two things: 1. The speed boat driver/ tour guide was rude and did not care about us, as if he is just rushing to finish his job and go home. We could not even understand a word he is saying at all! Also, he smokes whilst driving so all his cigarettes would be on your face if you are sat behind the wheels. Disgusting! 2. Like I said, the 3hour tour will just consume your travel time on the boat because Blue Cave (which is btw just a normal cave with blue water in it) is quite far from Kotor. You even only stay inside the cave for less than 3mins tops because other speed boats need to come in! So most of your time is just spent on the boat travelling. Very disappointing tour! So not sure why the reviews here will say this is a highly recommended tour. Trust me this is not worth every penny!
