Sumo practice was an eye opener, recommend - Thoroughly enjoyed watching practice at the sumo stable. Our guide let us know the rules and what to expect before going in. It's a much more physical sport than I expected. Would definitely recommend this experience to anyone wanting to see what the wrestlers do.

Sumo experience - It’s an incredible experience that I recommend. We were lucky enough to attend training a week before the big tournament. The training was therefore intensive and spectacular. We were treated to a small group photo at the end. Tiger is a very good guide who will enlighten you on the specificities of the world of sumo in a friendly atmosphere, always with a smile. I highly recommend.

Unmissable experience of sumo up close and personal - Fabulous. We had a terriffic time despite having no previous experience of sumo, this has been a real inspiration. Watching the whole session from warm up, through drills, then pretty full-on bouts and finally warm down, while huge bowls of food were prepared for the wrestlers, was fascinating. The seating arrangements were not ideal - those in the front of the four rows had a great veiw, and those in the last row were fine as we could stand... might have been hard to see for those in row three. But... this is a great trip.

Behind the scenes at a real sumo heya! - All went smoothly. Great to see the rikishi doing their thing - a mix of stretching and repetitive exercises, and practice bouts. We were in the back row, but despite what was said at the outset no-one seemed to mind us standing, so we had a good view. We were given a sheet with the names and photos of the members of the stable so we could identify some of them. There was a group photo opportunity at the end with the rikishi, and afterwards we were able to chat to the youngest one (who had good English - and looked from his bouts like a great future prospect!) outside the building.

Fantastic - It was increíble for 2 hours, but the only bad thing is that we were so many people and that's why it didn't see very good. Then I to get up from the chair and was well

Educational and entertaining - Very lucky to chat with one of the young wrestlers after the training session. This explained much and gave great insight into what we had seen, and answered other questions as well.
