A Wild Welcome to Korotogo

As a family travel writer, I’m always on the lookout for activities that promise both adventure and learning for the whole family. So, when I heard about the Park Access in Korotogo, I knew it was a must-visit. The park promised a mix of wildlife encounters, thrilling rides, and splashy fun, all wrapped up in a beautiful natural setting.

We arrived at the park just after 10 am, eager to make the most of our day. The first stop was the wildlife exhibits, where we were greeted by a friendly guide who had been working with the animals for 18 years. His passion and patience were evident as he introduced us to the park’s residents. I must admit, I was a bit apprehensive about holding a snake, but with his gentle encouragement, I found myself holding both an iguana and a snake! It was a surreal experience, and I was so proud of my 7-year-old son, who, despite his initial hesitation, bravely touched the snake too. It was a big step for him, and I could see the pride in his eyes.

Splashing and Sliding

After our wildlife encounters, it was time to cool off at the Kiddies Splash Water Park. The highlight for us was the “Splash Mountain Jungle Water Slide.” With its twists and turns, it was an exhilarating ride that had us all laughing and screaming in delight. The staff at the top and bottom of the slide were incredibly supportive, ensuring everyone had a safe and fun experience.

We took a break at the Hawksbill Cafe, where we enjoyed some delicious pizza and fish. The food was excellent, and I recommend going with a good appetite. Just a heads up, you can’t bring your own food or drinks into the park, but the cafe has plenty of options to keep everyone satisfied.

A Day to Remember

As the day went on, we found ourselves running out of time. We had arrived at 1 pm and left at 4 pm, but we could have easily spent more time exploring. We didn’t get a chance to do the forest walk, which I hear is a must-see with its beautiful bridges and canopy views. However, we did manage to feed the Hawksbill sea turtles, which was a unique experience. Seeing these majestic creatures up close was a highlight for all of us.

The park was a fantastic experience, offering a perfect blend of adventure, education, and relaxation. It’s a place where families can bond over shared experiences and create lasting memories.
