Beyond helpful! - I was scheduled to go with another tour company that left without me (even though I was at the meeting point early). I was really upset, and two employees from this company, Koper Tours, were my heroes for today. They were so incredibly kind and helpful, and I ended up being able to join their trip at the last minute. They helped me even though I wasn’t initially a paying customer, and then the manager checked in with me after the tour. The tour itself was absolutely wonderful, but it was the employees that were above and beyond for me. I am so grateful for today, and the caves were even more breathtaking than I could have imagined.

Beautiful cave and a well-run tour - The caves are beautiful. Visitors start their journey with an open-air train ride into the caves. Visitors then walk up and down stairs through the most scenic portions, returning to the entrance via the train. It is comfortable inside as long as you are dressed consistent with the temperature which is maintained at 50 degrees Fahrenheit (10 degrees Celsius). This visit should not be missed. Our tour was a shore excursion starting just outside the cruise port at Koper. Our tour guide, Petra, was friendly and informative. We stopped briefly, for photographs, near the Predjama Castle. The tour did not include entrance into the castle. Petra explained that there is a great deal of climbing inside the castle, and not that much of the original artifacts to see. The tour company had concluded, probably correctly, that visiting inside Predjama Castle was not worth the time, cost and physical exertion. Petra spoke briefly about the ethnic Italian population living in the Slovenian costal area and the use of Italian language in the schools. It would have been helpful for their to have been an explanation of the history of the border disputes of 1945, 1954 and 1975 and the resolution of the related property claims. Apart from my complaint about incomplete history, this was a well-run tour to a beautiful site.

Maravilloso ! - Slovenia was our first stop on the cruise trip. We hired this tour as according to what we were reading were the places that everyone recommended to visit. Initially we had booked this excursion with the cruise and it was cancelled GAD !!! I say GAD because I had to hire this tour and it was for the best. The guide was very friendly from the start and the whole journey from the port to the cave was giving us a lot of very interesting information to understand its history. Since we arrived at the cave the communication with him was very good as at all times he told us how many minutes we could be, where to head, etc... The Cave is a beautiful place impressive mind !!!!! We loved it. Just be prepared why it's cold. I was reading in different places that it was very cold and some people in my family did not believe me and had to buy sweatshirts there. Then the visit to the castle very nice, I just wish we could have come in. But it is the best tour in Slovenia!!

Gorgeous Caves - Definitely one of the highlights of our trip. The tour through the cave was breathtaking and the stone castle afterwards was gorgeous. Just don’t forget a sweater like we did as the cave can be a little chilly, however, we are from Canada, so it didn’t bother us too much. Would highly recommend!

Don't miss this one. It's absolutely beautiful. - We had an awesome tour to Postojna Cave and Predjama Castle. Don't miss this wonderful experience when you are in Koper. The Cave is absolutely amazing. We booked directly on the Koper Tours website and our tickets and instructions to find the meeting place were easy to obtain and follow. For cruise ship passengers it was so easy as they met us right beside our ship outside the cruise terminal. Our guide Petra was so helpful. She provided a good amount of information about Koper, the Caves and the Castle and greatly enriched our experience. She has a lovely personality and she was easy going and helpful. Our bus driver Mohammed drove safely and got us back on time. He was polite and friendly. We had a great day and we highly recommend Koper Tours for your day in Koper.

Very cool cave... - Very cool cave experience, the only downside is that our group was told that there would be bathrooms once we passed through the ticketing area (she said there was no time to use the ones upon arrival to the site because we had timed ticket access or something) which was not accurate. It was a very long 1.5 hour tour through the cave after a bus ride and no access to bathrooms so just be aware of that. At the very end of the tour upon exit, there is a bathroom you can pay to use but this whole thing deducted from our experience because there were several of us in the group who had to go upon arrival and ended up having to wait about two hours. The castle was interesting but not a lot to see there, literally just a photo stop. We saw this in the booking description so we were aware and fine with that but we overheard others in the group who missed that it wasn’t any type of access to the castle so just another thing to be aware of.
