- Lipica - The Lipica Stud Farm is one of the oldest stud farms in the world and it represents the origin of the Lipizzan horse. In a unique natural environment, in the middle of fairy meadows and in the shade of oak and chestnut trees, you will find beautiful white horses which will certainly enchant you. Taking a walk on the stud farm estate is like traveling through history. The old manor house and the gracefulness of the Lipizzan horse will take you to the time when horse carriages were the most prominent way of transport. For more than 400 years the tradition of breeding these white horses has been preserved in the center of the unique Karst landscape which today represents one of the most beautiful natural and cultural monuments in Slovenia. On your trip, experience the world of the Lipizzan horse, walk through the stable, and visit the Lipikum Museum dedicated to various aspects of the stud and the Lipizzan breed.
- Skocjan Caves Park - Škocjan Caves is a cave system in Slovenia which together with the underground stream of the river Reka represents the most important natural phenomenon of the Karst region and one of the largest underground canyons in the world. Due to its exceptional significance, Škocjan Caves was entered on UNESCO’s list of natural and cultural world heritage sites in 1986. Its colorful underground world is adorned with giant stalactites, water rapids, and beautiful lakes. On your trip, view the world’s largest underground canyon and walk across the bridge which is situated 40 meters above the underground river. The panoramic view at the exit of the cave will certainly leave you speechless. At the end, you will visit the Škocjan Caves Regional Park, an open-air like museum, which is well-known for its ethnological, karstological, geological, and archaeological monuments, as well as for its natural and cultural heritage. Here the guests can walk through the park and enjoy the unspoiled nature.

Wow! - I am really glad we booked with Koper Tours. The transport was very comfortable and our guide friendly and knowledgeable.
Visiting the caves first followed by lunch (paid separately) and then the Stud Farm we had a really great day lasting far longer than the advertised duration (because we we having a great time!)
Our guide found a fantastic restaurant for lunch. Delicious food and wine at a very reasonable price.
I'd definitely book with them again.

Minitour in Slovenia - Our tour in Slovenia was very nice 3/4 days intense but.........
1-a lipiza , the white horses , tour of the park about 4/5 hours
2-posthumous caves and the nearby castle, overnight stay in b.b in town, beautiful
3-on the way back the village and castle of Stafiel, with lunch typical products, about 4 hours
4-New gorica, beautiful city .. with its premises and casino, overnight stay
5-before returning to Italy , visit to Caporetto .. about 80 minutes from n.gorica ... it is worth it.

Exhaustive adventure - Was a little disappointed with the Lipica horse farm. I was hoping that we would be able to see the horses performing but all we were able to see were the horses either in their stalls or in fenced areas.
The caves were absolutely beautiful, so different from others that I’ve been to; however it was a grueling adventure with many steps and high walkways. I didn’t think I would make the last few steps to the top! Glad I did it.

Good tour. Well worth our time and... -
Good tour. Well worth our time and definitely happy that we booked it. The caves are wonderful be prepared for lots of walking up and down wet, slopping paths and stairs with occasional low ceilings. The stud farm was an easy walk around the grounds and through the stables. Our driver said that he spoke only a little English, but seemed to understand everything we said. I would have liked more information about the area during the drive, but that did not take away much from the tour. The arrival process was well-organized and finding our driver was easy. After the tour, we returned back to the pier promptly.

Read the description of the tour... -
Read the description of the tour very carefully. The Lipica Stud Farm entrance fee is NOT included in the price of this tour. It will cost 16 Euro additional. I didn't pay the entrance fee because I felt for what we got the Farm fee should have been included. Also when organizing your pick up time be sure to clarify the time. The local tour company said they would pick us up at 8am from the dock. We were there at 7:50am. The drive to the caves took 15 minutes but did not open until 10am. We sat at the entrance to the CAVE for one hour 45 minutes. Not even the gift shop was open. This was a complete waste of time.

Now for the Caves, they are spectacular - nothing like I have ever seen. I would recommend seeing this UNESCO site it is breathtaking.
