Highlights
  • Konjic - Konjic is a town and municipality located in Herzegovina-Neretva Canton of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, an entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is located in northern Herzegovina, around 60 kilometres (37 mi) southwest of Sarajevo. It is a mountainous, heavily wooded area, and is 268 m (879 ft) above sea level. The municipality extends on both sides of the Neretva River. As of 2013, it has a population of 26,381 inhabitants.
The town is one of the oldest permanent settlements in Bosnia and Herzegovina, dating back almost 4000 years; the city in its current incarnation arising as an important town in the late 14th century. Konjička Stara Ćuprija (Stara Ćuprija = English: Old Bridge) was built between 1682 and 1683 by Ali-aga Hasečić (as shown by a stone plaque at the centre of the bridge). It was built over six slightly pointed stone arches. It is the best-preserved Ottoman bridge in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The arches were destroyed by the retreating German army in March 1945. The bridge was rebuilt in its original state between 2003 and 2009. The bridge is now proclaimed a National Monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Bosnia to Kotor - I had an amazing private tour with Muamer, he was very kind and very accommodating, he also knew the history and facts of Bosnia very well. Answered all of my questions and most importantly showed me amazing places and took beautiful pictures! I 100% recommend this tour as a solo traveler I had the chance to change any of the stops or skip any but I didn’t because the planned itinerary is ideal there was no need to change or skip any of the stops.

Great tour - Muamer was an amazing tour guide and very knowledgeable. Not only did we stop at amazing places but he also told me a lot of history along the way and answered any question I had. I had a cancelled flight and wasn’t able to do the tour on my original date and he was great in accommodating my new schedule. I highly recommend this tour and if private, even better. Bosnia-Herzegovina is an amazing country that your should’t miss.

Amazing Tour!! - Our trip to Kotor last week was amazing. On the way to Montenegro, we made a small tour of Herzegovina. The biggest impression on us was the city of Mostar and the warmth of both the city and the people who live there. A walk around the old town and the view from the top of the Old Bridge delighted us. We even had the opportunity to watch locals jump from the old bridge into the cold Neretva river. It's amazing how much courage it takes to dare to jump. We learned that it is possible for any tourist to make this jump and then get a certificate. Maybe another time 😀 The Bosnian Voyager team did the job professionally, so we will definitely be back next year, maybe even then we'll gather courage and climb down from the old bridge.

Great tour with a friendly guide - Our driver cum tour guide, Mr Mohammed (hopefully spell correctly) is a nice guy, likes to joke. He drove safety and patient. He explained history and the places to us, also very patient in waiting for us taking photos. He also helped us took a lot of nice photos, of course he brought us to nice photo scenes location. Thank you so much for such a long hours drive and tour with us, and we arrived to Kotor safety.

Great transfer, great value - My wife and I are traveling with a baby. Everything gets a tad complicated because of that. So we looked into the transfer option and even though it was a bit more expensive than a bus it was weell worth it. Our guide did many stops for us to see special locations in Bosnia, have Bosnian food, use the bathroom, whatever we needed. Picked us up at our airbnb and dropped us off at the new airbnb in Kotor. The ease is incomparable. Super recommend.
