This temple was constructed to honor the crocodile God Sobek, with crocodile basins inside symbolizing strength and power in ancient Egypt.
Gebel El Silsila - Following lunch, the adventure continues to Egypt’s most renowned sandstone quarry, which dates back to the reign of King Horemheb in the 18th Dynasty. The site features beautifully carved and painted shrines. Afterward, guests return to the boat for dinner and an overnight stay on board.
Edfu Temple Tour
Temple of Horus - After breakfast, the boat sails north to Edfu town, home to Egypt’s best-preserved temple. Dedicated to the God Horus, it was built during the Ptolemaic period atop earlier temples. Guests enjoy a horse carriage ride to the site and soak in the town’s atmosphere. Afterward, they return to the boat for lunch and continue sailing toward Esna town, south of Luxor, for an overnight stay on board.
