Amazing Kolkata - I truly recommend this tour. It takes you to all those incredible places in Kolkata. Our guide gave maybe too many details sometimes but the whole day was amazing. The team is very helpful and extremely kind. They can tailor the tour to whatever you want to do. I would definitely book with them again!

Highly Recommended - I used Kolkata Trips to organize a few full-day tours for my friends visiting Kolkata from outside India. It was easy to coordinate with Tirthankar over WhatsApp, and everything worked flawlessly despite multiple groups of people doing these tours. Highly recommended!

A look at Kolkata's past and present - Informative visit of Kolkata's historic quarter / buildings, local markets, and more bustling streets. The tour gives you insights to the cities past whilst letting you experience the present, and gives you an up close and personal look at how locals live & work. The all day tour has some flexibility in itinerary, you can taste local food over lunch, and have coffee/ tea from street vendors. The tour guides were helpful, polite, and always encouraging feedback, ensuring we were comfortable throughout the tour.

A Day to Remember: Immersing in Kolkata's Rich History and Culture - Hats off to Mr. Mukharjee and his team for providing me with one of the most memorable days of my life. As someone who recently started traveling solo, I wanted to explore cities that have played a significant role in shaping India’s rich history—and Kolkata was at the top of my list. I was fortunate to find Mr. Mukharjee’s tour, as this experience would not have been possible with any commercial tour operator. The meticulous planning, thoughtfully chosen locations, and the insightful historical explanations provided by our exceptionally knowledgeable guide made the tour truly extraordinary. It felt as though I was transported back in time, witnessing the pivotal moments of Indian history unfold before my eyes. The journey took us through Kolkata’s most iconic landmarks, from the bustling Malik Ghat Flower Market, where life and color meet in a vibrant tapestry, to the architectural grandeur of the Howrah Bridge, a marvel of engineering that stands as a symbol of the city. We visited the serene Mother House, where the legacy of Mother Teresa continues to inspire, and the dazzling Parashnath Jain Temple, with its intricate carvings and timeless flame. Strolling through the historic College Street, fondly called Boi Para or the "Book Town," was a treat for the booklover in me. The vibrant energy of Kumartuli, where artisans breathe life into clay, showcased Kolkata's unmatched artistic heritage. Other stops, like the awe-inspiring St. John’s Church and glimpses of landmarks such as Victoria Memorial, Fort William, and Shaheed Minar, added depth to this cultural and historical odyssey. We also shared moments of laughter and cultural exchange, which made the experience even more enriching. And as if the historical immersion wasn’t enough, the inclusion of food stops was the cherry on top. I highly recommend trying Ghugni—a flavorful and quintessentially Bengali dish that was an absolute delight! Without this tour, my visit to Kolkata would have felt incomplete. I wholeheartedly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to truly understand and enjoy the city. A guide is an absolute must to make the most of it, and Mr. Mukharjee’s team goes above and beyond to ensure a perfect day.

Unique, nimble, knowledgeable, storytelling - Our guide, Mukherjee, the owner operator of this trip did an absolutely masterful job listening to our taste and preferences, and curated the day perfectly! We went to see places that we would not have been able to access conveniently on our own. The historian and narrator who accompanied us on the trip was exceptionally knowledgeable, with clear diction and explanations. One of our best Viator experiences!
