Kolkata to Delhi by Flight and 3-Hour Drive to Agra

Kolkata (Calcutta) - At 6am, guests will be picked up from their hotel or any location in Kolkata and transferred to the Kolkata airport for a flight to Delhi.

New Delhi - Upon arrival at the Delhi airport, a 3-hour drive via the Express Highway will take you to Agra, the City of the Taj Mahal.

Mehtab Bagh - In the early evening, visit Mehtab Bagh, the moonlit garden believed to have been designed by Shah Jahan for viewing the Taj Mahal on moonlit nights, away from the bustling crowds. The garden complex is located on the left bank of the Yamuna, opposite the Taj Mahal, offering a stunning sunset view over the monument.

Agra City Tour and 3-Hour Drive to Delhi and Fly to Kolkata

Taj Mahal - At 6am, explore the monumental heritage of the Great Mughals, including the magnificent Taj Mahal (closed on Fridays). This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the Seven Wonders of the World and is renowned as the most extravagant expression of love ever created.

Agra Fort - Next, visit Agra Fort, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built by Emperor Akbar in 1565 A.D., this massive fort is constructed of red sandstone. The maze of courtyards, mosques, and private chambers within the fort echo the story of the Mughal Empire.

Kohinoor Jewellers - After sightseeing, enjoy shopping in Agra, known for its exquisite handicrafts, including marble and softstone inlay work. The Mughals were great patrons of arts and crafts, with Empress Nur Jahan personally involved and skilled in zari embroidery. Agra’s major handicraft products include leatherware, brassware, carpets, jewelry, and embroidery work.

Agra - After exploring Agra, drive back to Delhi, arriving at 6pm, and proceed to the Delhi airport for a flight to Kolkata.

Your journey commences with a 6am hotel pickup in Kolkata, followed by a flight to Delhi from Kolkata Airport. Upon arriving at Delhi Airport, you will embark on a 3-hour drive to Agra via expressway. The first day in Agra includes a visit to Mehtab Bagh. On the second day, begin your day with a visit to the renowned Taj Mahal, followed by lunch. Afterwards, continue with a tour of the Agra Fort and carve out some time for shopping in Agra.
