A great intro into Kobe Sake! - We really enjoyed this tour! Hiro was our tour guide and she provided a lot of great information on the Sake making in Kobe and took us to several breweries that would have been a bit hard to find otherwise. They were beautiful breweries and the Sake was really good! Hiro was great to talk with and made the day extra special! It was really hot and she provided waterbottles for us. I highly recommend this tour in Kobe! It was a great way to get out of the main area and see a different part of the city. Thank you Hiro!

Amazing tasting tour, with fun, and social tour guides!s! - Amazing experience! We were a party of 3, and joined not really knowing what to expect, but we had 2 amazing, english speaking guides that guided us through everything. We visited 4 breweries and they each had a sake tasting included, with good opportunities for souvernirs. We also got 2 sake cups as souvernirs from the first two breweries. From my understanding the tour changes from day to day depending on which brewery is open. It became a much more social experience than I had thought. The other group of travelers, a family of five, were also very nice and talkative and the guides also participated well in the conversations.

Highly recommended. - All of the sake tasting!!! It was great learning the sake making process as well as tasting the sake produced by different breweries. The cost of the sake here is also significantly less than back in foreign countries. The tour guide was also super friendly and fluent in English. High recommend this tour if interested in sake tasting and history.

Interesting and fun! - This was such a fun tour! The knowledgeable and fun guides were waiting at the meeting point and ready to go once everyone was ready. They took us to several sake breweries, starting with a museum in the first one (Hakutsuru) where our guides explained the interesting process of making sake and answered questions. At the end of the museum tour, the tasting begins and continues throughout the rest of the afternoon. Aya was our main guide, and her love of sake and knowledge about it was perfect for this tour. We were given the opportunity to try many kinds of sake and buy some (or not - there was no pressure at all to purchase anything). She even treated the tour group to a bottle to share while we relaxed outside between breweries. There were some fun photo opportunities, too, and the guides were more than happy to take pictures. Honestly, the last parts of the tour are a little blurry, but she and the other guide made sure I was safely on my train and good to get back to my hotel. Highly recommended for anyone interested in how sake is made and trying various samples.

Great sake and wonderful guides - A wonderful guided experience . We (party of two) received excellent instructions for our meetup. We arrived a bit early and so did our guides. So, we left early. Aki and Hiroko were knowledgeable about the history of sake and the Nada district, and also very friendly. In addition to talking about sake and sampling many varieties, we discussed aspects of Japanese culture and life much as good friends would. We were not pressured to buy any of the sake that we sampled. However, as we drank our way through Nada, we came to recognize our own preferences in taste—and we did buy some of our favorites to take home to friends for our very own sake tasting party. Because we were all having a great experience, both we and our guides agreed to extend the time allotted for the tour. Finally, Aki and Hiroko got us to our train station (“designated driver”) and we made our way back to our Osaka hotel where we were staying—an easy 30 minutes away.

Excellent Tour - My wife and I did the Kobe sake tour with Seigo. He is a sake sommelier and an excellent guide. He took us to 5 different breweries and did a great job of teaching us about sake. If you have any interest in sake I would consider this a “must do” activity if you are in Kobe or Osaka.
