Our guide was fantastic - Angelica made sure we saw the real Kobe. We saw it from an observation deck. We went to Chinatown and sampled the street food. We went to a wonderful secondhand store and shopped until we dropped. We ended the day with a real Kobe beef meal. The day was perfect!

Wonderful Overview of Kobe - During a cruise stop in Kobe, we met our guide, Ryan, following a brief taxi ride to the city center. The walking tour offered us a comprehensive overview of the city's center. The tour showcased the city's main attractions effectively, and Ryan made sure it was an unforgettable experience. Notably, Ryan was an American who had resided in Kobe for several years. He was an informed and engaging guide, well-acquainted with the city's landmarks, traditions, and culture.

Among the Best tour guides - A + Gold Star - we would defiantly use Taiga again; Taiga was fun from the start of GO! His English was great, he was able to navigate Us through the city with ease! Providing us with both culture & historical facts from each location. He also was able to guide us to a fun lunch spot, giving us the opportunity to taste the cities signature dish.

A true and authentic Kobe day for our families - City Unscripted set us up with Angelica. She was just lovely. She shared her Kobe with us and it included everything from the Ikuta Shrine to karaoke. We loved our day and will never forget this experience or Kobe. Thank you Angelica—you were wonderful for our families.

Kobe local's experience. - We had an amazing experience with Manami for our half day tour of Kobe. She has lived in the Kobe area for 29 years and she really knows the area well. She met us at the Shin-Kobe station right on time, and she gave us some choices what we wanted to see. We told Manami we wanted to experience Kobe from a local's perspective and, of course, Kobe beef. She took us to a small town of Arima known for its natural springs. We went to a spa where my family of 5 got to experience the feet treatment by small fish removing impurities from the skin. The family loved it! Then we walked through the town looking at all the specialty shops and stopped to get Arima soda, matcha ice cream, and Arima crackers. This was exactly what we were hoping for in a Kobe tour. Manami took us to a restaurant where we ate Kobe beef prepared hibachi style. Manami is very kind, friendly. She speaks English well. We really enjoyed our tour of Kobe.

Beautiful Scenery - Marwan was a very friendly and helpful guide. It was a very hot and humid day so walking a lot was not in order. So, after visiting a shrine, we took the subway to the cable car to the top of the mountain and the herb garden. Fantastic views and nice shops at the top with local products. After that, he took us to a local restaurant at which he had made reservations for a 7 course Kobe beef lunch. That was a 4.9 experience. If there was any downside, it was that he was not a native an Egyptian college student who had been in the city only a couple of years so we hesitated to ask him questions he could not answer. With that said, his English was excellent and he was very attentive to our needs. All things considered, a very good visit.

Guide Cancelled and No Replacement Found - Tour was cancelled 3 days before we were scheduled and no replacement guide could be found. They did, however, quickly refund my money. Would not use them again given the short notice cancellation.

Very little background and information - We met our guide for a 6 hour tour of Kobe, our first time here. He was such a nice young man, excellent English, studying in Japan. He chaperoned us to many of the “must see” sights but there was a complete lack of any information about what we were seeing. His knowledge of Japanese culture and history was severely lacking, as he has only been in the country a couple of years and has apparently not taken the opportunity to learn things he could pass on to the tour guests. But we really enjoyed getting to know him, and he was very helpful in showing us how to navigate the metro and high speed trains. My husband and I spent another $200 out of pocket to cover entrance fees and metro and train tickets (including the guide’s). It was a bit of a waste since he could provide no information when we were in the attraction other than knowing which way to go. There we English pamphlets available at each attraction and English on most signs in the attractions. We read those as we toured, while the guide just walked with us. It was pretty frustrating considering the cost of the tour, and our limited time in Kobe. The tour is mid-named as our guide was not a “local”.
