Meriken Park is a waterfront park in Kobe, Japan, celebrated for its scenic views and modern landmarks. It features the iconic Kobe Port Tower, the Kobe Maritime Museum, and the Earthquake Memorial dedicated to the 1995 Great Hanshin Earthquake. The park is a popular spot for walking, relaxing, and enjoying the harbor atmosphere, especially at night when the area is beautifully illuminated!

Wonderful day trip from Osaka and great way to see Kobe - Superior experience and great personalized orientation to Kobe. Had an extra day in Osaka and wanted to try some Kobe beef on their “home turf”. Like the other reviewers, we were impressed with his great communications and desire to make this experience the best for us. A very enthusiastic and cheerful young student greeted us promptly on arrival and validated our desired itinerary. We adjusted minimally to meet his school schedule and weren’t disappointed. Great overview of the town starting with the international district. As a bonus visited the local mosque and met the Imam who is the first native Japanese to hold that position. He gave us a wonderful testimony of his conversion to that faith. Stopped for a wonderful affordable lunch of Okonomiyaki (local pancake specialty) and enjoyed watching the preparation and bantering with the staff. Took a cable car ride to Mt Rokko herb garden with fantastic views from the top and peaceful surroundings with a leisurely stroll down to the midway stop finishing the experience with some lavender ice cream. At the end of our fun four hours, Kodai recommended Chinatown as a fun experience and a street food vendor of absolutely delicious authentic Kobe beef. Melt in yo mouth superb taste for just under $20. All in all, a wonderful day trip and great way to see much of Kobe in a short time with a great price point. Thanks again Kodai!

Kobe with Kodai ! - Our tour guide Kodai was great - very friendly and enthusiastic. He made contact early on when we initially booked the tour asking to know what we wanted to see. Saw the historical area, Chinatown, ate some Kobe beef and had lunch at a Sushi restaurant run by a lovely husband and wife team. We had a great day and we all learned something as many questions were asked from both sides. Would highly recommend this tour.

Perfect day in Kobe! - We had an amazing day in Kobe thanks to our guide Kodai! He connects so well with teens and adults and he planned the best day for us. We had seen so many urban areas that we asked Kodai to show us a rural area. He took us to a very cool fishing village that we would have never been able to find or explore on our own. He also taught us so much about Kobe beef and took us to the best places to eat. We had many laughs too because of Kodai’s great personality!

From making sushi to learning about sake, it's overall a fantastic highly customizable experience! - I must say that this was a great experience! Since the tour is highly customizable, we first went to the sake museum, then visited a local village, where we ended up stopping buy a local sushi restaurant in the area. The sushi place was excellent, they not only served some of the best sushi I've ever had, but they also offered a spontaneous sushi-making class. In the end, we ended up making our own sushi, which turned out to be a really great time and the highlight of the day.

Kodai was an excellent... - Kodai was an excellent guide for Kobe. We were able to fully customize the tour to our interests. We first visited a local sake museum (with some tastings), then explored Chinatown, Kitano neighborhood, and the pier. Was great to converse with Kodai throughout the tour!

Best Guide, Kodai!! - Our guide, Kodai, was exceptional. As soon as our reservation was made, he contacted me to plan what we would like to do. His knowledge of different locations helped us have a wonderful Kobe Tour, geared to our abilities. He is so easy to talk to, conscientiously keeping contact, and very helpful. We ended with dinner at a Kobe beef restaurant he recommended, which made our visit unforgettable!

Kobe tour - We hade a lovely time with Kodai our tour quide walking around Kobe. Few days before he was in contact with us and asked about our interested and what we wantet to see and do, and he designed a perfect tour for us. He was knowledgeabal about the places we visit. We also taste some good food and Sake. Highly recommend.

Great tour and exactly what we were looking for! - Our tour guide Kodai was great from the beginning til the very end. He was very good with communication through WhatsApp. He created a customized tour for us while we were in Kobe. He was very knowledgeable with all the surrounding and history of Kobe, which was what we asked him for. He was also very considerate since we had young kids to stop and rest. Overall, we all enjoyed our tour very much and we highly recommend this to anyone who wants a customized guide in Kobe.

Excellent tour, fantastic guide - We had a great time exploring Kobe with Kodai. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and really did a great job making sure we were able to do everything we wanted. You can’t beat the value for this tour, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kobe. It is especially good for those visiting on a cruise ship.
