Wonderful day trip with exceptional crew - Wonderful trip! While we unfortunately had a rainy day we still had a great experience with beautiful sights, we really enjoyed the tour despite the rain because of the great crew! Big shout out to our tour guide T such a great energy and kept the trip energetic and shared some great information as well as looking after everyone so well with the whole crew, he was great learning everyones names and made you feel very cared for I have celiac disease and must follow a strict gluten free diet, which can usually be really hard to find when lunch is provided and I normally have to bring my own, however, I was really well looked after with a separate gluten free meal at lunch time that I felt extremely safe eating as we were able to share dietary requirements beforehand and T was aware beforehand and approached me to let me know there was a meal for me

Good day out with the family - The day out was perfect but to be accurate this would not be considered private tour as there were many other people with us on the boat but it wasn't over-crowded. Everyone had seats and there were adequate drinks and snacks onboard for all. Just wished we didn't have to be picked so early from our hotel in Khao Lak at 7am, we arrived at Sawanu Travel at 8 plus when the departure is only at 10.15am. Good thing there was decent breakfast provided. For all the tours I've done in Thailand, this is the first time to experience such good breakfast of toasts, cakes, fruits, cupcakes, tea, coffee and other beverages before departure of tour. The tour went smoothly led by tour guide T and the friendly crew. All places listed on brochure (Panyi Island, James Bond Island, Naka Yai Island, Rang Yi, Panak Island, Hong Island) were covered albeit in different order so we can avoid the crowded areas as explained by T. Lunch was decent at the NewFern Restaurant on Panyi Island with opportunity to explore the village and for my son to play football on the floating pit. We particularly enjoyed the canoeing session at Hong Island. I have to add that I was also impressed that towels were provided by Sawanu Travel and we could grab them before setting out on the tour as I coincidentally forgot to bring some from the hotel.

Fa Fa was the best!!!!!!! - Fa Fa was our guide on boat Lexi1 and she made our trip! We’ve been on countless boat tours and she was by far the best boat tour guide we’ve ever had!! She was so energetic and engaging, I couldn’t imagine a better guide! The trip itself was amazing and we can’t recommend enough, especially with Fa Fa as the guide!

James Bond Island tour with Sawanu Travel. - Day tour to James Bond Island with Sawanu Travel aboard the newest boat in their fleet, Lexi 4. This tour was arranged through Mr Not Tour Organizer in Phuket. The tour was hosted by Mr Alan, who was first class. I highly recommend this tour with Sawanu Travel.

FYI - James Bond Island Tour - Great trip out to James Bond Island - 12/6/24, Lexi #3. Fantastic boat crew and particularly our guide FaFa. We had enough time at each island however make sure you eat lunch quickly so you have enough time to explore the floating village. ** BUT, with the good there are always some small things. *Pickup from hotel - was advised for between 8.45am - 9am, we got a call to our hotel room at 8.15am tell us we had to hurry as they were here to pick us up. *DON’T be fooled by their warning signs telling you to buy their 400THB reef shoes at the checkin at the Marina, you absolutely DO NOT NEED! We realised this when we got out to the first island and decided not to unbag/wear… Unfortunately the company was not willing to refund us on our return even though the shoes had not been worn/unpackaged. Disappointing end to an otherwise great day.

Poorly planned trip + Inedible lunch - Where do we start? The program says we will head to Hong island for canoeing then James Bond island. Instead we started from a beach and stuck there for 45 minutes in scorching sun. There was literally nothing to do, nowhere to escape the sun, if you want to sit down somewhere without getting your butt burn sitting on the sand was to buy a chair. 50 bhat- no biggie but the fact that we were stuck there for doing nothing for 45 mins was frustrating. And as soon as you sit down you will be harassed by hundreds of little flies stinging face and legs. Absolutely horrendous. I was literally exhausted by the time we left the island before even get to the James Bond island. The guide condescendingly inform me that there’s a program and we must respect the program- well, your program says we start with canoeing not “getting stuck in an island for 45 mins in the unforgiving sun and hundreds of flies”. How’s that a nice start of the program? I’ve done enough group tours in the past to know that this was a case of bad planning by the agent. The program is canoeing first (start high and winding down towards the end of the program) not wasting time and excitement on a “nothing to do” island as a start of the program. So get your story right, Mr Guide. I really wasn’t going to write a review as we are on a holiday and every hour is precious for us and taking my time out to write this negative review is rather draining and looking back. But it was the lunch that really got me. Lunch is provided - are you kidding me? This was a dog’s breakfast- there’s no other way of saying it. The food was simply inedible and we are taking about Thailand- mother of cheap food in abundance. We were not in a pit stop in the middle of nowhere lunch place where all you can have is inedible fried rice and overcooked spaghetti with some god knows what tomato purée as a sauce. We are in Phuket and you provide that as a lunch? Are you kidding me? We were too hungry so I was going to eat anything at that time but the pathetic state of the so called lunch was infuriating. I attempted to have Tom Yum soup but as soon as I took a ladle the fish odour was too much to bear- how do you mess up Tom Yum soup? How unfresh bad fish to take to make the soup absolutely inedible? It would be an effort to make the dishes this bad. Lastly, Mr Guide, please drop your accent. I can see you’re imitating Liverpool/ Manchester accent but it makes your communication really unclear and hard to understand. Most local Thai speaks good English- no fake accent and we never had any issues with staff or vendors in general. Because of this fake accent your English sounds pretty bizarre. Just speak in your natural way, occasionally pops up when you don’t do your fake accent. It’s clearer communication.
