What exactly is bioluminescence you might ask! Well, this is the capacity of some creatures to emit light and can be found in numerous forms in the Phang Nga Bay area. One of the most noteworthy instances is the bioluminescent plankton present in the bay’s waters. These tiny organisms emit a bright blue-green light when disturbed, producing a captivating appearance in the water. The phenomenon is caused by chemical reactions within the plankton, which produce light as a by-product.
- The bioluminescent plankton captured in our photos is a breathtaking natural wonder known for its sparkling illumination. However, please be aware that the visibility of bioluminescent plankton can be influenced by various uncontrollable factors such as water conditions, weather, and other environmental variables. As a result, the appearance of the bioluminescence in the actual experience may vary and might not precisely resemble the depiction in the images.

A great Island hopping experience - An amazing tour! Bring sandals as you are taking shoes on and off. You will get wet. A fun and exhilarating canoe ride at Hong Island. Highly recommend.

Perfect experience - Super friendly staff, small-non crowded boat, the kayak spots were very beautiful, plentiful snacks and drinks, and we did get to see the plankton. Totally worth it.

The Top Thing to do in Phuket - This is easily the best excursion that you can do in Phuket. Amazing company to work with. And you do so much more then the itinerary lists. This is a must do. We’ve done a ton of excursions in Phuket and i can’t over emphasize how amazing this experience was for our family.

Great day and full adventure trip - We had a great afternoon/evening on this tour. We were picked up in a van by the driver and then picked up another family at a hotel on our way to the marina. Once there, we waited for everyone to arrive. While waiting, there were refreshments inside to enjoy. Once we were on the boat, Sunny, our guide, explained everything we’d be doing. We started with the caves because of the tides. It was beautiful walking through and entering into a big lagoon area. Next got back on the boat and headed towards James Bond island where we got off at a pier and could take pictures. My only complaint is that we stayed here a bit too long. Next we went to my favorite part of the excursion where we got into kayaks with local guides who took us through caves and lagoons where you had to lie down to fit through. Just beautiful. After that we had a swimming stop and then to the floating village for a buffet dinner. Once dinner was done, we got to a beach area to experience the bioluminescence - it was just magical. Sunny and the crew were all fantastic and we were well taken care of with water, soda, and even a snack of delicious watermelon and pineapple mid-day. Highly recommend this tour. We got back to the marina around 8:50 pm and then the van took us back to our hotel.

The experience of a lifetime! - This is absolutely the experience of a life time! Our tour guide was so great and nice, my husband lost his wedding band in the water and our guide left and came back with snorkeling goggles and a light and was able to find it for us! The only downside that I think everyone should know is that you can’t get pictures of the bioluminescent plankton like they do in the ad. But when you see it in person it’s absolutely incredible! It’s absolutely worth it for the price!

Great Trip for those of All Ages - The trip was amazing and had everything they promised! It was well laid out with the schedule clearly shared. The cave visit was spectacular. The trip to each of the islands I was well orchestrated and the overall experience was very enjoyable. The team was very safety minded while making sure that each person had a fun time.
The bioluminescence was magical, and the team made sure that all of us understood that it wouldn't look like the pictures on the internet, which I appreciated. I would highly recommend this trip!

Awesome experience! - We really enjoyed this day trip. It was beautiful and the crew was so accommodating, assisting our mobility-impaired friend, and ensuring that we all had a really fun day. Canoeing in the lagoon and seeing the plankton at night were amazing.

Wow - loved it! - Great tour with multiple wow moments.
As the moon was bright, we swam with the plankton in a sea cave - absolutely amazing.
Afternoon tour avoids the crowds.
Well organised, small group and great staff.
Highly recommend. Loved it.

Excellent, friendly staff, WONDERFUL activities, just JOY!!! - Lovely experience. Great staff! We went with friends and two small boys. They really enjoyed the scenery. We walked through caves. Played inside an open cave. There was canoeing and sight seeing. James Bond Island. Love Island. Most of all, there was a very special trip to a Muslim Village on the water where all the people on the boat played soccer on the floating soccer field with the villagers. We enjoyed a beautiful dinner with wonderful choices. Then we left at night to see the bioluminescent plankton. The moon was out, so we had to go nearby a cave in order to see the plankton. The staff were so helpful. They offered black shirts for us to use under the water to better see the plankton. It was magical. It wasn't what the image show, so don't expect the ocean to be lit up. But it was still magical. Overall, we really got a lot of out this trip. We did so many things. This is really worth it if you have an entire day to be taken around on a boat to see so many different things. Just to recap, we experienced, scenery, caves, canoeing, Muslim village, delicious dinner (though bring bug spray!!!), moonlight boat ride, and plankton--all with really wonderful, exceptionally friendly and helpful staff.
