Magical Day in Crete - George provided us with a personal tour of an olive grove and the processing of the olive oil. We taste tested a variety of olive oils and were able to taste the differences between them. George was extremely knowledgable and able to answer all our questions. You might not be excited but it was a true highlight, walking through the olive trees and breathing in beauty all around you. Then George took us to an outdoor café, in a little village outside the city for Greek coffee; drinking coffee with the locals. Then we visited Lindos palace and spent time learning about the Minoan civilization. It was a day to be savored and George took such good care of our family. Thank you George for the beautiful memories of your lovely island of Crete!

Great Guide! VERY knowledgeable. Great communicator! - George is a WONDERFUL guide. He should be your first guide of choice. We arrived on the NCL Viva on 1 Sep 2025. He met us there just as he described. He is fully knowledgeable, personable, and a good communicator. We will ask for him again when we visit Heraklion a 2nd time.

Visiting the Past/Enjoying the Present in Crete - Lots of walking around the Knossos Palace and you must watch your step! That said, you can’t go to Crete and not see the ruins from the Minoan kingdom. Great driver was provided. Also enjoyed the Greek coffee and visit to an olive oil pressing facility.

Great experience! - We had an incredible day exploring Crete with George. From the Palace of Knossos, where he brought the Minoan world to life, to tasting exceptional olive oils at Politakis Olive Mill, and finally enjoying authentic wines at the family-run Paterianaki Winery, every stop was thoughtfully chosen and full of insight. His deep knowledge, passion, and storytelling made the experience unforgettable. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to truly understand Crete’s history, culture, and flavors!

Cannot Recommend Enough! - We had a great day in Crete with George! He made sure we beat the crowds, beginning with a trip to the Knossos Palace. He also allowed us to customize the rest of our day, including visits to an olive mill, the old town, and the city’s archaeological museum. We completed the day with an incredible meal with George at the Peskesi Organic Farm restaurant. George was kind, knowledgeable, and excellent!

Get off the beaten tourist track with George - I can only recommend the expertise of George, a true Cretan who will show you places that are rarely visited by tourists and who was able to adapt to our family regarding the activities and the time allowed, because we have teenagers. 😊 I don't want to reveal everything to you and I won't tell you everything to reserve the surprise effect during your visit, but in broad outline: we visited a family olive grove and tasted their limited production which is not distributed in stores. Afterwards we tried our hand at pottery then we visited a monastery whose doors are not often open to the public with their private museum to finish with the guided tour of the famous palace of Knossos. This last visit was done with a licensed guide Mr Charidimos in order to be able to fully benefit from the historical and linguistic anecdotes of the history of Crete.
