Additional Information

There are 2 main spots where you can see manta rays in Nusa Penida - Manta Bay and Manta Point.
The first one is the closest and most of the snorkeling trips are going there. Usually, it is very chaotic and messy, there are a lot of people and boats.
The further spot is Manta Point. It’s a much longer journey but you might get more chances to see…

Great! - Very well, we were well equipped with a suit, at the spot there were about twenty manta rays and we were only 2 boats. Good contact with the guide, nice and smiling. The other 2 spots were very nice too. The place where they receive us before diving is nice and there are nice restaurants around. I recommend.

a unique experience that I will remember for the rest of my life - it was an amazing experience! we swam with manta rays and i will never forget it. the boat driver did everything so that we could enjoy the trip. our instructor was always next to us in the water and i felt safe! the equipment was new and clean. the wetsuit really helped me remember this trip as comfortable. we saw the most beautiful places and enjoyed the underwater world. i highly recommend taking a mini freediving course at this school the day before manta point. we did exactly that! it helped us so much in this unique experience. this mini course was a revelation for us. our instructor masha helped us master the basic level of freediving. my boyfriend was afraid of water, and by the end of the lesson he was already diving upside down 5 meters! it was an amazing experience! thanks to your school!

Fantastic and well organised trip! - An amazing trip! Reyna and Tony were fantastic guides. The trip felt very well organised and professional. We were given a safety briefing beforehand and they took great care when giving us our equipment. The manta rays were just incredible. They also took us to some other sites to see beautiful corals and fish afterwards.

Wow! Great Morning with Freedive Nusa 🐟🐠🐢🪸❤️🙏🏻 - I had a great diving trip with Freedive Nusa. I had also booked the photo package for the trip. I am totally thrilled. We were well briefed by Chiara and Reina. As I am not a very experienced diver, I also received valuable tips during the dive. What I saw underwater was very impressive. I was able to see several manta rays at the same time. At two other stops, we saw turtles 🐢 and other colourful fish 🐠🐟🪸. Care was also taken to ensure that all divers kept their distance from the fish and the reefs. I would book this trip again. And the pictures by Chiara (Carpe Diem Holistic) are wonderful

Highlight of our trip - Easy to book the trip. You will get on a boat with a small group of around 5-10 people instead of 20-30 like the other diving schools. The instructors seaech some spots which are not as crowded as the classical ones. We saw about 10 mantas and had them for ourselfs. The instructors are encouraged to give you the best experience. Keep it on you to do list at Nusa!

A Memorable Highlight of our Trip - Our freedive and snorkelling trip was fantastic! Our guides Roberto and Gaston were really helpful and kind, especially for us as first time freedivers. All the equipment was ready and well-organised when we got there and I loved that they provided sea-sickness tablets and ginger tea on the journey. Manta Point was amazing and we saw heaps of mantas. I appreciated that our guides advised us how to approach and treat the mantas so that they would feel safe. It is clear other tour groups do not do this and I was happy that our guides took the protection of the mantas seriously, even stopping people who tried to touch them. The other stops were beautiful and we even saw a turtle. It was an amazing day all round and I would recommend it to everyone. We also got professional photos by Gaston and that was worth it too.

Amazing Tour with excellent guide! - We had such an amazing time at Free Dive Nusa participating in the manta ray tour! We had picked this particular company as we wanted a more ethical way of swimming with the manta! We had Ray as our tour guide.. he was so friendly and welcoming! He sat us down beforehand for a short briefing, which allowed us to learn a bit more about what we would see the manta rays doing. He also taught us how to be respectful of these animals, and how we would position ourselves to minimise disruption of their natural environment. We saw so many manta and had the best time! Ray also took some really cool photos and videos on my GoPro for me! Additionally, he taught us some extra skills in how to equalise underwater and swim further! We couldn’t recommend this tour more! It felt great knowing we were with a company that wants to protect the environment and I would definitely tour with them again in the future.

Amazing experience - Manta trip withFreedive Nusa Penida was amazing! 🤩 I enjoyed it so much, to see Mantas is unforgettable experience. Really magnificent animals 🔝 Photographer Gaston did awesome job and gave great advices. Whole team was doing perfect job. I would recommend this company 100%. Also appreciate that you care about nature and you don’t do crazy big crowded trips with many people without advices just to make most money.. I saw some companies doing this trip like tourist trap.. One more time thank you very much! Hope to visit Nusa Penida in future and make some another trip with you or try freediving school ✊🏼

Mantas were fabulous but tour expensive and dubious - Very busy spot to see Mantas, and a time change due to tides made it very difficult for us to meet the revised start time and they almost left without us. You would think the tide times were known before? Also Viator made a mistake suggesting this one when I asked for a Scuba diving experience and I mistakenly booked it.
