Friendly guides and beautiful sites. - Our dive guides Fahri and Cann were amazing. Quick boats, small diver to guide ratio, beautiful coral, and lots of sealife to see. Snacks and lunch provided. Manta point was great for Manta rays as the name suggested. Negatives would be the amount of smoking by staff and other divers. Would support larger effort in picking up trash. Penida Colada, a local restaurant, provides a free drink for trash.

Manta dive with a great dive centre - Great dive centre, replied fast on instagram for booking 2 days later. chilled dive centre, cool decorations and facilities. staff were great. speedboat was good and fun and our guide even found us a manta in off season! very happy with our diving experience with them! thank you!

Decent pick for your diving in Nusa Penida - We are a couple with a few years’ experience diving in S.E Asia. Sanctum is a good bet for a good diving experience in Nusa Penida. For the same price, there are better dive centres in Indonesia (notably in Pulau Weh, Bunaken, Komodo etc.), so you should strongly consider other locations if you’re looking for an excellent diving experience. However, for Nusa Penida it may very well be the best option (as of Jun 2018). Pros: knowledgeable & reliable divemasters (we dived with Joseph and Arto) Spacious & nicely done dive centre plus resto-bar Dive boat was set up as expected with drinking water and food/snacks for surface intervals Cons Unorganized on-shore operations. We told them 3 times that we didn’t want to do the same combo-dives of manta point/crystal Bay for our 2’nd day of diving because after each time we informed them; somebody would wipe out our names from the board and instead add the names to the manta point/crystal Bay group. Also; we were told to be ready at the dive centre by 9am; but on both days we were kept waiting and finally left only at 10am.....this would be okay if there were good reasons to delay (checking for currents/tides or for safety reasons) but we were uninformed about the reasons. Mediocre customer experience when paying. They gave us a 10% discount for bringing our own gear. They advertise a discount for bulk dives (5% for 5 dives and so on) but they only tell you later when you’re paying that the discount is capped to 10%. This is ridiculous because every other dive centre in Indonesia we’ve been to offers both discounts on a cumulative basis. Also, one of the ladies informed us that we could use a combination of $ & rupiah to pay because their card machine was not working. Then later another woman says this is not possible and only rupiah is acceptable. Net; I’d say 4 stars out of 5 with the potential for them to get to 5.

Scuba dive - Unfortunately I had a really bad experience with this company. My equipment was faulty and when I raised the concern it wasn’t taken seriously. The guide made some dodgy calls and gave me big red flag vibes. When I wasn’t defending due to incorrect weights he decided to push me down. Yea nah. The rest of the dive I was struggling with buoyancy and water in my regulator with no mouthpiece on my spare. I felt unsafe but didn’t want to call off the dive and ruin the other’s experience. Because of this experience I didn’t trust the situation enough to proceed with my second dive. When I tried to discuss the gear and the canceled dive the day after (when I had calmed down) I hd a very poor response. They said it was my fault I didn’t dive a second time and there would be no refund. When I sent an email they responded with a “we’ll get back to you”. Then I never heard from them again. I was left feeling very shaken and not looked after.

Shame - I'm PADI instructor not anymore in teaching status ... We Booked an open water course in French for my girlfriend with them with theory online , so WE had to pay them 100 euros in advance... Theory done we speak to the manager to tell him which day we arrived, and perfect his french instructor is waiting for us.... But when we arrived he tell us we will have indonesian instructor with French girl Divemaster, then she arrived telling us she is in fact only starting her DMT and she didn't know that she had to be here today and that she has other plan for today, and anyway we cannot speak Underwater so its no need of traduction 😅😅. So i end up paying my fun dive to assist the course, the course was not safe with some skills made under boats and some skills was missing. The manager was not nice to us and start to have agressive look when i start complaining ....(He only Care about his dog, his cat and the money) Don t go there so many good dive shop on this island. PS: thank you to the manager for not charging me for using the pool teaching for free and the 10%discount on the fun dive while i was teaching for free.
