• Kitulgala Water Rafting with Serendib Adventures - The Kelani River in Kitulgala is the perfect spot for commercial white water rafting in Sri Lanka. Visitors can meet at the Adventure Center in Kitulgala town, located near the old clock tower. Here, they will receive additional information about the experience and change into rafting gear. Transportation to the rafting start point is provided by our vehicles. Before embarking on the trip, our highly experienced guides will deliver a thorough safety briefing, along with paddle instructions and training.

During this rafting adventure, participants will navigate several class 2 and 3 rapids, including Butter Crunch, Killer Fall, and White Water. Additionally, the route passes the filming location of the award-winning movie “The Bridge on the River Kwai.” Our guide will highlight the site of the bridge, where only the foundation remains visible.

The tour lasts approximately one hour, covering 4 km along the river, with duration dependent on water levels and weather conditions. This activity is suitable for children over 10 years old, although kids over 5 years can join after passing the class 2 and 3 rapids. Before concluding the trip, participants will have the opportunity to jump off the boat and enjoy floating down the river.
