Perfect Day in Crete - Our travel group (Six of us from the US, Canada and Greece) wanted to visit Balos Beach while we were spending a week in Chania. There is a Ferry that goes to Balos but it holds hundreds of people and stays in one location all day. We decided to rent a private boat with a Captain and called Seaze the Day to reserve a trip from Kissamos to Balos Beach. I left a voicemail for Seaze the Day and received a response by text in less than five minutes. We chose a 5-hour trip. A couple of days later we drove to Kissamos and easily found our 9 am boat and Captain Stelios. Snorkeling and swimming were awesome. We even visited a shipwreck at Gramvousa. Captain Stelios was terrific! Some of the group was concerned about possibly getting seasick and it was not an issue at all. He made sure that everyone was comfortable. Even our friends that do not normally like boating loved this trip. Lunch was excellent and memorable. One couple, (that spends several weeks in Greece annually, said it was the best day they had ever spent in Greece! I would highly recommend Seaze the Day and this trip in particular. Leaving Kissamos at 9:00 was perfect and helped us to miss the crowds at Balos. We were so glad we were not tied to a specific schedule because it was our own private boat for the day!

Private cruise to Balos and Gramvousa - We went on a private half-day cruise from the Kissamos area to Balos and Gramvousa with a group of 9 people. The boat was large and partially shaded, which was perfect for our needs. Alex, the skipper, was outstanding—very service-oriented and courteous. He was highly attentive to both adults and children, ensuring our safety while providing a fun experience for everyone. We were treated to soft drinks, snacks, and fruits. The beaches were enchanting, and the entire experience was wonderful.

Excellent trip - We were very impressed with this trip. This is the second time we have used Viator and we have always found them to be so good. Our captain was Lefteris and he was excellent. Fantastic trip would highly recommend.

Wonderful experience, excellent reliable company for private excursions. - We booked a 5 hour private boat trip for two families to take us Balos and Gramvousa. We were four adults and three children. Ariadni helped us to book the desired trip over the telephone and was extremely helpful in planning the trip to meet our requirements. The trip itself was amazing and well worth paying the extra for a private boat as we managed to “beat the crowds” to the beaches which meant we practically had the whole bay to ourselves at Gramvousa and Balos was less crowded. A special mention to our skipper Alex who was an absolute star in providing some local orientation during the journey as well as pointing out some points of interest along the coast. He was knowledgeable, polite and an absolute gentleman in making sure we all felt safe during the trip. There were plenty of drinks and sandwiches were provided for all of us which was very welcome with all the swimming, snorkelling and jumping on and off the boat with the children. I thoroughly recommend this company and would not hesitate to book again - in fact - we did exactly that having had such a good time and booked a further trip to Menies and Theodorou Island a few days later.

This seafaring superhero navigated us through crowds like a pro, anchored at spots so pristine you'd think he had a secret map, and even rescued my daughter's runaway hat from becoming a fish's fancy fedora! Between serving up delicious sandwiches and drinks, Alex transformed us into mountain goats for our hike to a stunning fort. On the return journey, he unleashed his inner speedboat daredevil. But the real kicker? This eco-warrior paused mid-trip to fish out ocean trash. Talk about a sea-lebrity with a conscience! In short, Captain Alex doesn't just run a tour; he captains a memory-making machine. Just remember to hold onto your hats... literally!"

What an amazing boat trip! Alex was superb! - What an amazing trip! I rarely write reviews but given the amazing day we had we felt we owed it to Alex and SleazeTheDay to make some comments. We arrived at the port and had Alex for our boat trip and what a great guy. Thrilling boat trip (the kids loved being up front for the spray and speed) and Alex was very happy to go between Balos beach and the lagoon at our leisure within our time. We made some great family memories that were all made possible by Alex and his efforts to please us and charm. We chose the 11 foot boat for five of us and it was perfect. We didn’t expect anything more than water so was pleasantly surprised to also receive sandwiches and soft drinks/beer. We loved every minute of it…you won’t be disappointed (especially if you also get Alex as your skipper). Thanks very much!

Fantastic day out! - This was a great tour, made better by knowing that we were with the very experienced Captain Yannis. It was quite windy, so the tour was adapted slightly to suit the weather. Balos was fantastic and we loved swimming off the boat. A great trip!

Worth doing! - Definitely worth doing this. Balos beach is amazing. Our captain nice and accommodating. We only wish it was longer.
