Join us for a special feeding session with our reindeer. This is a rare opportunity to feed the reindeer that typically roam freely in the tundra during winter, relying on nature for sustenance. However, due to a dry summer, a rainy autumn, and an impending long winter, their conditions are challenging, so we have decided to assist them with food this winter.
We will travel by minibus from Kiruna, and thanks to the polar night, this tour is a “combo tour.”
We will be searching for the northern lights on our journey to and from Övre-Soppero, while also providing food to the reindeer during our visit.

Embark on an unforgettable adventure where you can feed reindeer in the heart of the Arctic and search for the breathtaking Northern Lights! This is a unique and meaningful experience. Typically, reindeer wander freely in the tundra during winter, relying on nature for sustenance. However, after a dry summer, a rainy autumn, and with a long winter approaching, conditions have become challenging. Therefore, we have decided to intervene and provide additional food to support them through the cold months.
Your journey begins with a picturesque minibus ride from Kiruna, heading towards Övre-Soppero - a charming Sámi village nestled in the Arctic wilderness. Thanks to the polar night, this tour offers a combined experience of the Aurora, Sámi culture, and reindeer.
Upon reaching Övre-Soppero, you will have the opportunity to interact with and feed the reindeer, gaining insight into their lifestyle and the difficulties they encounter during the harsh winter. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to assist the reindeer while enjoying the stunning beauty of the Arctic.
