Aurora in Lapland - Explore Kiruna gave us a a phenomenal experience chasing the Northern Lights - We set off at 9pm from our hotel in the Old town of Kiruna heading NE past the Jukkasjarvi village and set up near a small lake. The experience was absolute awesome. The cost worth it for the 3 hours we were out - we stopped at 4 sites each offering a different view with Aurora transforming to magical colors of green, gold, reddish. Photo shows site with best views although the Aurora faded and emerged with time. Unforgettable

Northern Lights hunting trip - This is a summary of our 10 days. A plane to Stockholm, for safety one night at Malardrottningen, boats hotel, on the side of Gamla sta. Amazing this hotel, there is everything, cheap, and especially at 10' max. from the central station via metro, 150 meters from the hotel leaving on the right side of the station. Evening and next day in Stockholm, visit state museums, free. Only disappointment, 30 years ago there was a museum exhibiting an entire Drakkar and bodies found in the bogs, I no longer found it. In the evening, overnight train to Kiruna with exchange in Boden. 1st class, shower private toilet, breakfast included and access to the lounge a few hours before departure. Impeccable Train, Service, etc... and not much more expensive via interrail. Day 3 arriving in Kiruna around 2:00 PM, shuttle new station to city, slight problem, or buy bus tickets to go to hotel? The driver, took us free on the way but also on the return. During 3 days, incredible walks in the city, light dawn sight of the hotel, day, horseback ride in the forest, saw Elk, Reindeer, Hares big enough, Elk and Hare also in town, then, night dog sled excursion, beautiful, you drive if you can say, yourself. Unfortunately that evening, despite the 20`, wet and foggy weather. So much for the dawn, the dogs compensated. The next day late afternoon, leaving for Stockholm, via Uppsala, the we had seen on the internet that there was a Drakkar, but also not found. Visit museum and city. To finish return Stockholm, end of the visit on Djugardland, unmissable Vasa museum, for Abba enthusiasts museum, Vikings museum, history of Sweden from the Middle Ages, and museums along the quays of the in Gamla stan. Very amazing points for us, shopping galleries on three or four floors, very large, and we could live there, great restaurant, reasonable price, you have some or at the entrance you take an organic plate, put what you want, many vegetables and meats, and pay by weight, 3€ 100gr. There are tables and chairs all over the center to settle in and eat quietly. Then do not forget the station, where you could also live, direct access to trains, metros, city buses and inter city buses, widely used everywhere and cheap. The best memories are hard to choose, but still Sweden is less green than I thought. Plus, we never needed money, everything via card, ticket purchase, reservations, etc... Everything via smartphone, we would have liked to know before, very convenient phone ticket and quick access to the mu paying. In short we return e early February 2021, but let's push a peak in Norway via the article train, to see Tromso and take a whale and killer whale excursion, there is even way to swim with killer whales if calm sea. If possible, I try, my wife does not?? Summary, I did it in summer via interrail in 1981, I just did it in winter, and both are very well and worth it. Budget for two all inclusive, even organizing, for two, between 2,800 and 3000 €. With the advantage of paying one month for the plane, the next the train, then hotels where excursions (horse in the woods, half day with lunch, 190 € per person, a little expensive). Sled, 140€ per person. Aurora hunting in van, 120€ per person.

Amazing - Alex was really friendly, and brought us to a really good spot, just in time to see the northen lights. It was unbelievable! We were a group of 16, which for me was a bit much, but he took time and made photos if asked. In the highlights it says the tour includes dinner, which is (as Alex told us) not the case anymore. Other than that we had a great time.

Aurora Borealis - I didn't think the chance of me seeing the northern lights would be a lot higher with a tour. But I had never seen the lights before, so I decided to still do this your. And that was a good decision. The guide was really nice, we drove to a spot where there are no city lights. I made some awesome shots from the Northern Lights that evening, so it was all worth it for me.

Northern lights by the fire - I booked Kiruna Magical Northern Lights Photography Tour on march 18 2019. The host Alex contacted me on the day of the tour, to give details and update on the weather conditions and what we could expect for the night. He picked me up at the hotel and with 2 more people, he drove us to a lovely frozen lake, where he made a fire to keep us warm, while waiting for the aurora to show up. He also provided me with a delicious vegetarian bun to enjoy by the fire. We saw the lights and Alex took pictures of us with the aurora on the background. It was a perfect start for my vacation. I strongly recommend to book with him to enjoy Kiruna.

Captured the Northern Lights! - This was a great tour, Alex was a terrific guide and willing to help everyone with camera settings to capture the Northern lights. Upon pickup at our hotel he had hot tea waiting for us onboard his van. He was very conversational and answered any questions. He even took photos of us and everyone traveling and sent them to us afterwards. That was nice. The only criticism I had was the long walk (15 minutes in deep snow) to visit a spot he wanted to light a little fire at. I really don’t think that was needed as we had plenty of beautiful spots in between to capture amazing views. All in all we do plan on going with Alex again when we visit Kiruna and the ice hotel again.

Exhilarating, extremely cold winds - Alex was very helpful in setting up the DSLR to try to capture the Northern Lights . Unfortunately weather was not favorable and only a small glimpse of the lights was visible

Mr - Very informative presentation. Guide gave me the impression that the need to perform was not important. Regardless, I enjoyed the evening.
