Great decisions - Initially thought I booked the Jeep tour however, the trekking was an even better experience. Gede was my guide and photographer and Jago was my driver to and from my hotel and hot springs. They were both amazing sports.

Good value - The guide was so kind. Whenever I got tired, he held my hand and pulled me up. He talked to me a lot and was so affectionate! It was such a memorable trekking trip that I would want to do it again next time!!

Just do it!!! - Another very good experience with viator! Simply booked, rich information, meet the expectations. The services managed well, picked up early morning 2.30 AM at our hotel in Ubud by Janya, continued hiked mt. Batur guided by Gede. We reached the summit before the sunrise, served with morning meals and nice seating spot. Must go! So enjoyable ! Not to forget we stopped by to Coffee & Cocoa Plantation , nice to have the complete testing there…

Best combination - This was a magical trip! despite the early pick up and very early start to the hike, we managed to enjoy every step and the guides were so helpful and caring. They really made sure everyone in the group was going to summit the mountain and that we were all taken care of. I appreciate the attentiveness and all the information we received in our group during the trip. I would definitely do this again as reaching the top of Batur was beautiful and the views are incredible.

Good - Youna was absolutely great! Very informative on Bali. He was a safe driver with a clean car and great to be around. Would recommend going for a custom tour, which we did not. The spots recommended were a but touristy feel.

Well managed - I booked the night before in a hurry, but I was able to leave the best sunrise and life photos of my life without any problems with quick responses and questions. From 3 am to 9 am, the package with travel time, photoshoots, detailed descriptions, breakfast, etc. are at this price! Thank you to Surya and the locals.

Perfect tour - Agus, our guide, was very good and kind to us. You do need to be in a bit of shape to be able to go up, as it is very hot and the climbs are steep. You can also choose to go up by motorcycle, but it has an extra cost, not included. The visit to the hot springs is perfect after climbing the volcano. And the place where they take you to the coffee plantation is beautiful and the tastes are delicious

Crowded crawl to the top, mediocre view - As scores of others, we started the “hike” at 4 am. It is very crowded, and obviously as you like there is nothing to see cuz it is dark. Locals (including children) trying to sell you stuff. The “summit is “crowned” with shacks of corrugated metal and littered with trash. The view is quite mediocre. The descent is along an equally crowded and dusty trail - in addition to pedestrians there are also motorbikes constantly going up and down. Would never do this again.

Overrated activity on Bali - watch sunrise by the sea instead - Overrated, too expensive, tough ride. Requires good shape and good shoes with rough soles, so you can stick to cliffs and loose soil, both up and down. Guide, which one should have on the trip) told absolutely nothing on the way up and down, spoke very poor English. Didn't even keep track of our group. The trip cost too much money and cost a night's sleep and a tired day after the trip. Look for a sunrise by the sea, where the sun mirrors itself in the surface of the water.
