What are the highlights?
- Embark on an early morning trek up the stunning Mount Batur with an experienced local guide.
- Witness the sunrise from the volcano’s peak and explore craters from 1804 to 1949.
- Relish a well-deserved breakfast with a hot drink at the summit while enjoying the brilliant sunrise colors.
- Cap off your active morning with a soak in a natural hot spring and a refreshing coffee before heading back to the hotel (Optional).
- Add optional trips such as a swing, waterfall visit, and other activities in one day.
Upon arrival at base camp, receive a brief introduction and safety briefing from your guide. Before and after your 1.5-hour hike to the summit, you can relax in our Mt. Batur base camp lounge, the only base camp in the area with clean and comfortable toilet facilities.

M'ont bâtur + hot spring - A nice Tour with Agus and Wayan. The hike was nice and the hot spring was perfect after the Mt bâtur. They pick us up at Ubud and the communication was very good.

Incredible and seamless experience - I had the pleasure of experiencing the Mount Batur hike and sunset thanks to the incredible efforts of my driver, Kadek and guide, Made.
I was lucky enough to have a solo guided hike with Made. Made brought the vibes and we had the best time! He took me up the mountain on a less crowded route and knew exactly where to stand for the best view of the sunset.

Mt Batur Experience - Pick Up and Hike - The view from the top of mount Batur were incredible!
I drove up from my Villa in Seminyak to Mt Batur with Putu Adi at 1am. He made me feel safe and comfortable. Safe driver and allowed me to sleep the entire ride (2.5 hrs) without disturbances or discomfort.
When I reached the facility, Adi the guide was so accomodating. He explained the entire process of the hike and gave me updates throughout the time. Incredibly friendly and kind. There were many tricky obstacles during, and he helped me climb up and down seemlessly.
I would do this hike again and again!
Thank you so much Putu Adi and Adi for making this experience so magical.

Must do in North Bali - The whole experience was seamless door to door. Contact was regular and clear, and our guide (Made) and driver (ADI) were really friendly and helpful. And Made was a better photographer than either of us, helping capture great shots on the crater’s edge. The hike up was somewhat challenging in the dark but we had headlamps and there was plenty of time to take tests if we needed it. The view from the top was spectacular and feeling the volcano steam on your face a real experience. The hot springs at the end (with a welcome drink) were the perfect thing for tired muscles. Definitely recommend.

Solo traveller - Picked up from hotel, given coffee, a lovely hike that's not too long or intense, followed by breakfast on top of the mountain before the sun came up for those amazing views. All the staff were friendly and helpful.
Did the hot springs package which was very welcome post hike. Driver stopped into a coffee plantation on the way back too which was great! A very worthwhile experience

Mountain Batur Sunrise Trekking Review - Tour company and driver provide prompt updates on the pickup time and confirmation prior to the tour day.
The trek route is shared with the bikers and Jeep which made it very inconvenient for the trekker. We have to stop and give way for the bikers and Jeep every time they pass by and this will stop our momentum to continue trekking up the mountain. Trekkers should have their own path up the mountain. Trek routes are pretty steep and slippery. Not really meant for tourists who are physically not fit.
