Must-do! - A must-do in Kinsale! We were guided by Stuart in a super interesting and fun tour, in which he told us about the history and curiosities linked to mead production. He is passionate about his job, we could feel it! It was a lot of fun. The tasting was the cherry on the top. Of course, we finished buying a coupe of bottles of the delicious mead. We highly recommend a visit!

Kinsale Mead - Really well put together tour, with a great amount of history and information at the start, enough to come away having learned a lot, but not too much to be overwhelmed. Everything was explained really well and all questions answered expertly. Can clearly see the passion for Mead here. Also the tasting that was part of it was excellent, a really good variety of different meads showcasing the skills that f Kinsale Mead and the versatility of the beverage itself.

Delicious Mead and Fantastic Staff - This was the highlight of my day in Kinsale. My friend and I stopped by on a whim and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It's a family own and run business, and we were lucky enough to interact with Zara and Stewart, both of which are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. I ended up buying 2 bottles, and I wish I could have bought more, but that's all I could fit in my suitcase! The mead is delicious and so is the honey it's made with. I highly recommend this place if you are traveling and you want an experience that is not the typical tourist stop.

Learn about and taste mead! Very interesting tour. - My wife and were looking for things to do in Kinsale and happened upon a brochure for the Mead Co. at the TI. Neither of us had ever had mead and knew nearly nothing about it, so we thought it would be an interesting thing to do. We weren't wrong. We were the only ones that showed up for an early afternoon tour so we treated to a private tour where we were told about the history of mead and shown the process. At the end, we were treated to some delicious tastings. Denis was very welcoming and answered all of of our questions. We're very happy that we were able to "discover" the Kinsale Mead Co. on our trip and will definitely stop back in to purchase some next time we are in Kinsale.

Wonderful time! - Really enjoyed the tour and tasting! This is a more personal experience than Guinness or Jameson. Dennis and Kate were wonderful ! In addition to the tasting we walked away with a greater knowledge of bees, honey, mythology, history…and a few cocktail recipes as well. Very happy we decided to include this experience to our itinerary!!
