Must-sees include the Montreal Botanical Garden and Montreal Garden. - Wonderful gardens that are worth visiting to get to know the diversity of the flora of St. Vincent. The Botanical Garden and the Montreal Garden complement each other perfectly.

A very interesting day on St. Vincent island - Our tour was extremely interesting. Our tour guide, Sydney Campbell, was very pleasant and as a resident of St. Vincent, he knew all about the island. We toured two botanical gardens and made a few other stops. If you have enough time, he can recommend a beach that isn’t too far from the cruise ships. An added bonus was that his teenage daughter came along with us to provide additional insight, and we learned about her life on the island. Our main interest was in seeing the Montreal Gardens. They are a bit remote, but the mountains of St. Vincent near the gardens are very scenic. We were there when the plants on the island were very green, since they were coming out of the rainy season. Apparently much of the island vegetation dries up during the “dry season.” The area covered by the Montreal Gardens is not very large, but it is a very pretty tropical area. The drive into the gardens area was lined with many beautiful anthuriums. The different anthuriums were at their peak. Small paths meander through the “gardens,” which overall are basically a tropical rainforest below some mountains. It was a very pretty setting, and people back in the U.S. complimented the various pictures that I texted to them. I really enjoyed walking through the lush greenery and listening to a stream or streams running down through that area. We applied insect repellant and had no trouble with mosquitos. While compact, the area is a visual delight. Going there was one of the highlights of our cruise. The gardens are not easy to access so going on the tour is what I’d recommend. Mr. Campbell skillfully drove around the island while telling us about life on the island, and I felt like I had learned something about St. Vincent. While I did not know anything about St. Vincent prior to our tour, I agreed with my family that St. Vincent was the most scenic island that we visited during our cruise. There was never a dull moment and I enjoyed my time on the island.

Great 4 hour tour of Botanical Gardens and island - Had a good group for this tour and Sydney is a terrific tour guide and driver. Would highly recommend him for any of your needs while in St Vincent. Our ship was leaving at 3:30 so we did not have time for the Dark Falls tour which we had seen before. It is a terrific tour and I’m certain Sydney would do a terrific job for this tour as he did for us in our shorter tour.
