• Kerry Bog Village Museum - Nestled on the scenic Ring of Kerry, the Kerry Bog Village offers a captivating glimpse into the lives and work of 19th-century Ireland. As the only village of its kind in Europe, it stands as one of Kerry’s premier tourist destinations, perfect for families and visitors with ample parking available.

Travel back in time to explore Ireland’s rural history, heritage, and lifestyle. Guests can immerse themselves in the culture, customs, and living conditions of our ancestors during the famine years and late 19th century. The village features period thatched cottages, authentically furnished with antiques, complete with sound effects and figurines. Outside, a remarkable collection of rural farm equipment used by turf cutters and farmers of the era is on display.

This location also serves as a Morning Coffee/Restroom stop, with time for a stroll in the area for those not visiting the Village.

• Kells Sheepdogs Ring of Kerry - The sheepdog demonstration is a unique and popular attraction on the Ring. Local farmer Tom introduces his sheepdogs and showcases their skills in herding sheep. Responding to Tom’s whistled commands, the dogs expertly guide the sheep, and by the end of the demonstration, all the sheep are calmly penned.

Tom’s impressive skills are evident as his dogs respond to his every command. A question and answer session follows, with the sheepdogs as the true stars of the show. They clearly enjoy their work, panting happily after a successful demonstration. The flock includes several rare breeds, and Tom is happy to answer any questions about them. The admission fee is €8 per person, payable in cash on-site.

• Daniel O’Connell Memorial Church - Located in the heart of Cahersiveen, Co. Kerry, the Daniel O’Connell Memorial Church is one of the few Catholic churches worldwide dedicated to a layperson. Its construction is notable for using granite from Northern Ireland and a marble slab/cornerstone sourced from the catacombs in Rome.
• Daniel O’Connell’s Birth Place - Daniel O’Connell, a renowned Irishman of the late 18th and early 19th centuries, played a pivotal role in securing the right for Catholics to become Members of Parliament. He also advocated for an Irish parliament, earning the title “The Liberator” for championing Irish rights.

In 1823, Daniel, along with others, founded the Catholic Association, which attracted many members in Ireland seeking Catholic Emancipation.

Daniel O’Connell (1775-1847), a lawyer and politician, is a significant figure in Irish history. Known as ‘The Liberator,’ he successfully campaigned for equal rights for the Irish people.

O’Connell was a gifted orator, with nearly a million people attending one of his meetings in Tara, Co. Meath!

Daniel O’Connell’s dying wish was fulfilled: “My body to Ireland, my heart to Rome, my soul to God,” he declared on his deathbed in Genoa in 1847. He is buried at Glasnevin Cemetery, Dublin.

• Cahersiveen - The tour passes through Cahersiveen, a charming and quintessential Irish town. It was here that the first shots of the Fenian Rising were fired in 1867.
• Caherdaniel - Situated on the Iveragh Peninsula along the Ring of Kerry, Caherdaniel is located on the southwestern side, overlooking Derrynane Bay.
• Waterville - Waterville, historically known as Coirean (Irish: An Coireán, meaning ‘little cauldron’), is a village in County Kerry, Ireland, on the Iveragh Peninsula. The town is positioned on a narrow isthmus, with Lough Currane to the east and Ballinskelligs Bay to the west, connected by the Currane River.
• Sneem - Sneem, or An tSnaidhm, meaning “the knot,” is a vibrant village on the Ring of Kerry, surrounded by breathtaking scenery and offering a warm welcome to all.

Sneem is ideally located on The Wild Atlantic Way, The Ring of Kerry, and The Kerry Way, one of Ireland’s longest and most popular walking trails. The village is renowned for its colorful houses and characters and has won numerous Tidy Towns Awards.

Sneem is a lively village in southwest Kerry, blessed with stunning landscapes, wild terrains, and majestic Kerry mountains.

One of the most popular stores, Quills, offers fantastic bargains in Sneem.

Visitors can enjoy ice cream, afternoon tea, or perhaps a Guinness in Sneem.

• Moll’s Gap - Moll’s Gap, or Céim an Daimh, is a mountain pass on the N71 road from Kenmare to Killarney in Kerry, Ireland. Located on the Ring of Kerry route, it provides views of the MacGillycuddy’s Reeks mountains and is a favored tourist spot.

Moll’s Gap is named after Moll Kissane, the landlady of a renowned shebeen—a small, unlicensed pub—famous for her homemade poitin.

• Ladies’ View - Ladies View is one of Killarney’s and indeed Ireland’s most famous scenic viewpoints. It is named after Queen Victoria’s Ladies in Waiting, who accompanied her during her 1861 visit to Killarney.

Ladies View offers spectacular vistas of the winding waters of The Long Range, which flow into the main Middle and Lower Lakes.

• Killarney National Park - Killarney National Park, Ireland’s first national park, was established when the Muckross Estate was donated to the Irish Free State in 1932. It is Ireland’s oldest National Park. Senator Arthur Vincent and his family entrusted Muckross House & Estate to the Irish State’s care. The Park is currently managed by the National Parks & Wildlife Services and the Trustees of Muckross House, Killarney.

The park spans 26,000 acres of rugged landscape, including the renowned McGillycuddy Reeks Mountain Range, home to Ireland’s highest peak, Carrauntoohill, standing over 1,000 meters.

Recently, the White Tailed Sea Eagle, once abundant around Killarney but extinct in the early 20th century, has been reintroduced thanks to a collaboration between National Parks and the Golden Eagle Trust.
