- Ross Castle - The history of Ross Castle in Killarney is a tale of conflict, rebellion, and restoration. Constructed by the O’Donoghue clan in the 15th century as their fortress and home, it was later seized by the McCarthy clan in the 16th century after the O’Donoghues lost their lands during the Desmond rebellion. In 1652, English forces led by General Ludlow besieged and captured the castle following a prolonged resistance by the Irish defenders. The castle was subsequently leased to the Browne family, who became the Earls of Kenmare and resided there until the 19th century. Restored by the Office of Public Works in the 20th century, the castle is now a museum and tourist attraction. Admission is €5 for adults and €3 for children.

Family of 4 - Kris was terrific, adjusted the trip on our family. Learned so much about the area and history. Highly recommend. Travelled with 2 young adult children. Van was nice size for us.

Ring of Kerry Tour with Kris - The Kerry Cliffs, Ladies View and Torc Waterfall were fantastic. We also visited a number of ancient ring forts. Kris our tour guide was excellent.

Ring of Kerry private tour with Kris M - What a wonderful tour of the Ring of Kerry. After driving the Dingle peninsula on our own , this was a relaxing way to see the ring. Kris was amazing, offering great history and stories and great viewpoints/stops that kept both the adults and kids entertained. It was my daughter’s bday and he made her feel special and included side activities to keep her smiling. Kris never rushed us and made a point to tell us to enjoy the moment and not feel pressure to get to the next stop! I would highly recommend Kris and tour with him again.

Stellar Experience! 10/10 - This was the BEST experience we have ever had! Kris was so nice and generous. He was able to tell us all about the different places we went to and make it fun for the whole family! He was very patient with us and knowledgeable too. We dawdled at most every stop yet he NEVER rushed us. Very sweet man! Highly recommended. Thanks Kris!

Excellent tour! - Kris was an excellent tour guide for our family of four. We never felt rushed and he encouraged us to take our time and explore at our leisure. He was friendly and informative and shared a wealth of knowledge of the history of the area which added so much color to our experience. He was a safe driver and we were so glad we weren’t driving the narrow mountain roads ourselves. This was the highlight of our trip to Ireland. Thank you, Kris!

Amazing tour of Ring of Kerry - Kris was outstanding as a tour guide. He was very patient with our family of four and encouraged us to take our time and enjoy the sites as long as we wanted. We never felt rushed. He shared a wealth of information about the history of the area, which added so much color to our tour. He took us to sites we never would have found on our own and we enjoyed every one. He was a very safe driver- would definitely not have wanted to drive those narrow mountain roads on our own.

Ring of Kerry Was So Very AWESOME - Such a great time and an awesome host. Kris made sure our day was fun and complete. We saw so much in one day at our own pace. Would highly recommend touring this way without the hassle of a bus and required time format.

Amazing - My friends and I had a fantastic experience on the tour. Kris was so friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. We had one of the best travel days imaginable and after wished we had allotted more time to stay in Kerry. All of the spots we were shown on the tour took our breath away and Kris took us many places we would not have thought to go outside of the tour. We not only got to see, and explore the sites but were also able to interact with some wild life all thanks to Kris and his knowledge of Kerry. Could not recommend this tour more and we will be raving about it to anyone who will listen.
