- Muckross House, Gardens & Traditional Farms - Nestled within the lush woodlands of the 10,000-acre Muckross Demesne, Muckross House was constructed in 1843, designed by William Burns. The estate features beautifully arranged flower gardens, rockeries, shrubberies, and expansive lawns that stretch to grasslands, majestic pine forests, and the lake shore. The traditional farms offer a glimpse into a simpler era of Irish family life.
- Ross Castle - Situated on the eastern shore of Lough Lein, Ross Castle holds a commanding presence. This ancient fortress, believed to have been built in the 15th century, features a stone spiral staircase leading to the top, offering breathtaking panoramic views.
- St. Mary’s Cathedral - Designed by A. W. N. Pugin (1812-1852), St. Mary’s Cathedral’s foundation stone was laid in 1842, with construction continuing through the famine years. By 1853, the completed aisles of the church provided shelter for many homeless individuals, and under the “Griffiths Valuation Act” of that year, the church was designated as an auxiliary workhouse.
- Aghadoe Church and Round Tower - Aghadoe offers stunning vistas of the lakes and mountains. Visitors can explore the ruins of the ancient church, which display architectural elements from two distinct periods, generally believed to be the seventh and twelfth centuries.
- Ladies’ View - Named during Queen Victoria’s 1861 visit to Ireland, Ladies’ View provides spectacular views of the valleys, lakes, and hills, including the Black Valley, the Upper and Middle Lakes, McGillicuddy Reeks, and the Gap of Dunloe. It’s an ideal spot for photography, and the site also features Ladies View Café.
- Torc Waterfall - Torc Waterfall, cascading approximately 100 feet from cliff edge to riverbed, captivates many with its awe-inspiring beauty. The mountain, rich in trees, shrubs, and vegetation, is home to the renowned Torc Waterfall, created by the swift westward turn of the Torc River. The waterfall tumbles down the mountainside in a roaring torrent, whirling into a fast-flowing current through large rocks and boulders before returning to its normal river form, winding its way to Muckross Lake.
- Killarney National Park - Established as Ireland’s first national park when Muckross Estate was gifted to the Irish Free State in 1932, Killarney National Park spans over 102.89 sq km (25,425 acres) of diverse ecosystems, including the Lakes of Killarney, internationally significant oak and yew woodlands, and mountain peaks. It is home to the only red deer herd on mainland Ireland and boasts the most extensive native forest coverage remaining in the country. The park was designated a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 1981.

Amazing - Our driver/guide Tony was great. He adjusted our itinerary to ensure we were able to make the most of our day despite afternoon showers. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and experiences exploring all the National park sites and were able to create amazing memories as well as capture pictures to commemorate our time.

A Wonderful Family Tour! - Mr. William was an excellent representative of Kerry Taxi Tours. The vehicle was clean and comfortable. We had the best time and plan to come back with more relatives. I would highly recommend this company and this tour.

Wonderful day in Killarney! - Billy was our tour guide and he knocked it out of the park! We didn't have cooperating weather in the morning and he adjusted the tour to ensure we had a great experience regardless. We still saw the sites listed which we appreciated! He also came prepared with extra water, large umbrellas, binoculars, and great knowledge! He also stopped at multiple sites to get breathtaking sites along the way we wouldn't have seen without his expertise. He even noticed a sheep dog demonstration happening close by and he stopped so we could see it which was fantastic! He really put thought and effort in this tour so we could have a wonderful experience! Highly recommend!!

intimate, guided tour - this tour was for my in-laws. the tour operator Bill was amazing, there was a last minute change to the pick up site that he was able to accommodate as well as providing valuable insight to the locations listed. My in laws absolutely loved this tour and rated it as their top experience in the southern part of Ireland and Killarney.

The very best family tour experience. - Mr. William was an excellent representative of Kerry Taxi Tours. We had the most wonderful time seeing all of the sights and learning from his extensive knowledge about the area. We were able to learn more and experience more than we would have if we explored on our own or were on a bus tour. It was a comfortable, clean, and extremely relaxing ride. The private taxi was the most enriching and enjoyable experience we could have possibly had. I feel we have been able to truly see the Killarney area, learn some of its history, and carry those memories together for a long time. I cannot say enough about what a wonderful tour we had with Mr. William. If you are looking for an unforgettable experience, don't hesitate to click and book this one, or any tour with Kerry Taxi Tours!
With gratitude,
The Edwards Family

Incredible!! - This was hands down my favorite tour while traveling through Ireland. Our guide William was amazing- funny, informative, a good driver, and accommodating. On top of that every stop was breathtaking. Can’t recommend this tour (and William!) enough.

Loved every minute of our tour! - I'm so glad that we did a tour rather than trying to navigate the roads ourselves. Brian was a fantastic tour guide and filled us in on so much great history that we would not have known otherwise.
Some of the roads are pretty narrow and windy as well, so having someone else drive meant that we could all enjoy the scenery.

Complaint - We were never picked up waited more than 1 hour and was told the tour was overbooked we called a Taxi and made our own day calling a taxi to go to each destination. The service rep I spoke with was very rude and had no concern of our situation.
