Jaunting car is worth time - Our jaunting car driver, Raymond was loads of fun and full of information. Would highly recommend the jaunting car. The lake boat trip was fine and the captain was knowledgeable, just not my favorite part of time in Killarney.

Fun tour with kids - My kids (4 and 7yrs) and I had the best time seeing Ross Castle and the park in the Jaunting car tour! Michael was absolutely amazing and learned so much about the area! He was very accommodating to me and my kids and we really enjoyed our time. The boat ride was very relaxing and David was very knowledgeable! Highly recommend!

Calvin and Nancy—Rain or shine a ride to remember - We had a fantastic jaunting car ride through Killarney National Park with Calvin and his lovely horse, Nancy. Despite the rainy weather, we came prepared—and thankfully, the jaunting car is covered and has warm blankets, so it was a comfortable experience. It’s what you’d expect in Ireland. Calvin, a Killarney local, was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so much interesting history and local insight throughout the ride. What made it even more special was knowing that Calvin is continuing a family tradition, just like the enduring presence of Ross Castle itself. This ride wasn’t just scenic—it felt like stepping into a living piece of Killarney’s heritage. Highly recommend this experience, rain or shine! We were not disappointed!!

Perfect amount if... - Perfect amount of activity for a family with young children. Horse drawn buggy ride was narrated by our driver, Michael. His lovely accent and manner was calming as we travelled through the wood forest of the National Park. We came upon deer, mother and baby, and other deer scattered in the woods and fields. Great ride with a mix of trotting, walking and pauses along the way. On to the boat ride, a covered roof and very steady boat with narration around the lake. The perfect amount of time for those who are not “tour” people.

Jaunting and Boat ride with my wife and two daughters - Even in the wet this was a fantastic voyage. Our jaunting car guide Kyle was so nice and knowledgeable, he included conversation with our kids and was welcoming and relatable. Charlie is the best horse! Our boat ride was equally enjoyable, the weather changed in our favor, the clouds dispersed and the sun came out. We stepped right onboard, checked in, and learned so much about Lough Leane and its surroundings. Commentary was full of jokes, fun, and so much info. Great time, highly recommend!

Experience Ireland by Boat and Horse!! - Highly recommend adding these two unique "views" of Ireland to your journey! Rain or shine, the Jaunting experience is a must. Our tour guide David was a fascinating young lad and hard worker! His knowledge of the park, of horses and the Irish culture was a real treat and kept us engaged. And our horse Joey was also a good boy! lol. Our cruise then gave us sights of Killarney national park that you just can't get anyway else. Pictures to last a life time. We did wish the Boat driver spoke a little more often to the passengers, but generally a delightful ride!

Pleasant tour, arrive significantly earlier than you think you need to. - If you are going to do this experience, arrive at least half hour+ early. They don't let you know that parking is a nightmare and you really have to dig through emails to find the exact meeting location-which is past the wooden bridge to the right of the Ross Castle. My ticket read "12:45", but when I arrived at 12:41, I was already getting a phone call saying our group was late. The ticket should reflect the time that you need to arrive. Because we were "late", our coach tour was cut short. Admittedly the entire group ended up present at 12:50 since we were traveling with an 83 year old...but had the description of the meeting point been mentioned in other than just one email (which I had to dig through extensively to even find the meeting location), and had the ticket time said the correct thing, instead of 15 minutes later than the supposed start time, there would have been more to enjoy. The coach trip itself was pretty and the guide was great, we were just disappointed it was cut so short (it ended slightly after 1pm, and the boat ride didn't begin until 1:45). The boat ride was pleasant, but it was very hot out that day. If you are doing the boat portion, make sure you find a seat next to a window that can open (the first row of seats doesn't have that option). Our captain went super slow on calm waters, so no need to be worried if someone is apprehensive about getting on a boat. He gave us lots of details about local history etc. It was a nice little tour.
