When two hours passes so quickly it must have been good. - John is an experienced, knowledgeable guide born and bred in Kilkenny. He clearly loves guiding tours of his birthplace and in just over 2 hours we walked 2 miles and were given an entertaining, fact filled trip. We would recommend him without reservation.

Wonderful Walking Tour of Kilkenny with John Britton! - We had a lovely 2-hour walking tour of Kilkenny with John Britton! He was knowledgeable, entertaining, and an excellent storyteller, bringing landmarks like Kilkenny Castle, St. Canice’s Cathedral, the Black Abbey, and the Medieval Mile to life. When it unexpectedly rained, John thoughtfully positioned us so those without rain gear stayed dry—a true professional who clearly cares about his guests. Highly recommend this tour with John for history, local insight, and a memorable experience!

Getting to grips with Kilkenny's rich history - We love Kilkenny and visited several times before we started a family, but hadn't experienced much more than the (excellent) pubs and restaurants! However, this time we had an 11 year old in tow for his first trip to Ireland and we wanted to explore the city's history. The two hour walking tour with our guide, John, was a perfect way to get to know more about the sites and personalities stretching back to Kilkenny's origins right up to the modern day. John was an engaging and knowledgeable host who brought the city to life and has given us some great ideas on what to do next. Highly recommended both for history buffs and families!
