Each of our vessels can accommodate up to 12 guests, allowing us to provide small, personalised excursions. If your group consists of more than 12 individuals, we will allocate you to two separate boats. Don’t forget to bring your camera to capture the stunning Castle views and several other Kilkenny attractions. Experience the city through the eyes of past conquerors and settlers by navigating the river. Our guides cater each journey to match your knowledge of Kilkenny history and the River Nore, including its biodiversity. This voyage will leave you feeling serene and well-versed in the city’s vibrant history and notable individuals.

Happy customers 😊 - We took this boat trip didn't really know what to expect, we really enjoyed it our guide was brilliant very informative about the history of the area and wildlife, gave plenty of time to get photos and was very friendly even encouraged any children to to come up and drive the boat and of course we had lovely weather on the day which was a plus we will definitely recommend.

Highlight of our trip to Kilkenny. - We loved the boat trip in Kilkenny. Anne Marie was our captain, though the children we were with all got to steer the boat for a short while each. We got a few nice stories about the city and some great views of the castle and the river. It was a highlight of the weekend for the children in our group.

Sunday Afternoon Adventure - What a lovely boat trip. Would well recommend it. Lovely 40 mins experience. Cliff is a cracker of skipper....Both myself and the Kerryman had a lovely time. Thanks again Cliff

A Must Do - Cliff is very knowledgeable about the history of Kilkenny,the rivers and nature, Cliff is an excellent storyteller and a very humorous guy, we thoroughly enjoyed the river boat tour and would highly recommend it (would love to meet ‘The Boss, ie, his wife) I bet she does a great tour too

Great experience - We had an amazing time on the tour. We went the day after our daughter's wedding with a group of family members. It was the perfect way to relax, unwind and enjoy a quiet bit of time after all the excitement of the wedding. Our guide Cliff was so knowledgeable about the area and it's history. We learned a lot. Would highly recommend

Enjoyable for kids and adults! - This tour was ann excellent way to start our day. We were able to gain an understanding of where landmarks were by boat so we could compare and discuss with our family when walking around town. The historical facts were excellent, far beyond what we read before coming to Kilkenny. We really enjoyed the information shared and even went to some of the areas we were not expecting, such as a special mural and a portion of the original city wall. An extra treat was that the children on the boat were given the opportunity to drive - they felt so special and mature!
