So cool - Yes, we have visited many many lighthouses but this one was cool. We got to go to the top where it was so unbelievably breezy. The tour guide was very informative and actually gave us information about the operation and timing of the lights that we had never heard before.

Brilliant Place - Amazing place. Mary who greeted us had the house beautiful and warm. We had a lovely stay in an ancient historic and symbolic Lighthouse Keepers house. Apparently Enda Kennys grandfather was Lighthouse Keeper there once upon a time. We brought lots of supplies and cooked our own delicious food most of the time. There is a pub restaurant close enough but we ate on Sunday at a restaurant in Kilkee...not sure but maybe Diamond Rocks was the name? Its near the cliff walk and had amazing views. Back to the Lighthouse we took a tour with Martin which was included in the price of our stay. Great tour guide. We walked around the Loop Head. Certainly not for children as open cliffs. The accommodation and Lighthouse are safely secured behind high walls so no worries there. Peaceful tranquil and relaxing. I would highly recommend it. The reading room was my favourite spot in the house. We brought lots of board games and cards. Phone cover and Internet were poor but it didn't stop us having a wonderful time. Thanks Mary and the super guides that were in the shop I enjoyed the discussions we had. A happy Tipperary family.

Lovely evening on a dull day - Lovely to see the inner workings of a lighthouse and hear the stories. We arrived on a misty rain day and thought it would be awful, but actually the light goes on. The automatic sensor goes on in the dull weather so you actually see it working. The rain cleared somewhat so you can see the views. Tour guide was knowledgeable and informative.

Characterful stay with warm welcome - We stayed in the Irish Landmark Trust cottage for three nights; very comfortable house, loads of character, beautiful scenery on spectacular cliff setting and we were fortunate some really good weather with blazing sunsets. Lovely museum & coffee shop on the site and ILT rep Mary very helpful and welcomed us warmly.

Fantastic memorable stay - We stayed two nights at the cottage which once was the quarters of the lighthouse keeper’s abode and enjoyed every moment of it. Fully equipped and functional kitchen with great views of the lighthouse and the surroundings. Mary was most helpful and the guides very knowledgeable about birds. Wish to return and will book early as the slots are always filled!

A nice break while traveling the Wild Atlantic Way with coffee, toilets and stunning views - Our guide, Mary, was very friendly and experienced and gave us al the information about the history of the tower AND the life of the lighthouse operator in the past. The views from the balcony were beautiful! Happy to see there was a little shop for souvenirs and coffee and cakes etc. Loop Head also has a beautiful walk to the cliffs with spectacular views. I would highly recommend traveling to this site.
