Amazing Experience from the state of Florida in the USA - My experience was amazing from the start (booking) to the end of the tour! They contacted me and advised me what was needed for the tour via WhatsApp. Additionally, they were patient in answering all of my questions. The driver Shadady was skilled and knowledgeable. He was the best!! The porters helped me make it to the top to see the gorillas after having breathing issues due to the high altitude. We trekked up the mountain for 2 hours because the gorillas kept moving. We were able to see the silverback!! The guide Francis was knowledgeable and ensured we were all okay. I would highly recommend this company for your needs. My husband and I had an amazing experience!!

Exciting adventure with expert guides! - The gorilla trek exceeding my expectations. Our driver and guide, Christian, did a great job of navigating busy traffic to get us safely to and from Volcanoes National Park. He managed the gorilla permits and park fees so we did not have to think about it. The trek was the adventure of a lifetime! The expert guide and gorilla trackers found our gorilla family right away and primed us on how to behave. Porters were friendly and available to carry bags and provide assistance as needed. Trekking in the park involved some slipping & sliding on roots, so I think you have to be ok with falling down. After the trek, Christian met us with a thoughtful refreshment and took us to a delicious restaurant. Highly recommended.

An unforgettable trip to Uganda! 🦍🌿 - Thanks to Rwindy, we had an exceptional experience: We had the chance to experience emotional highlights: watching mountain gorillas in their natural habitat, walking alongside chimpanzees, meeting elephants, lionesses, and so many other wildlife... All in absolutely spectacular landscapes, between jungle, savannah and misty hills, visits to schools and villages, all in breathtaking landscapes. Lodges (not high-end but very comfortable), tasty food with vegetarian options everywhere, and above all a remarkable guide, passionate and attentive, contributed greatly to the success of the trip. Surprisingly, we didn’t meet any French, only Belgians, Germans and Americans. A destination still little frequented... and to discover absolutely!

It was an amazing experience. - My guide, Mr. Shadsdy, was very kind and pleasant and kind to me when I asked him questions about Rwanda. The gorilla trek was closer to the gorillas than I had imagined, and the child gorillas were too cute and inspiring. I rented it for USD 15 because I didn't have a cover to keep my feet clean and a jacket ready for when it rained, but it was too hot to use nearly any jacket as I climbed a gentle mountain for over an hour. For those who usually lack exercise, it is only a matter of preparing a little.

Wonderful Experience - I had an amazing time on my gorilla trekking tour—truly a once-in-a-lifetime adventure! The trek itself was challenging at times, but absolutely worth it. The scenery was beautiful, and being face-to-face with a gorilla family in the wild was unforgettable. Our guides and rangers made the experience feel both safe and exciting. Jerome was with us in the forest and made sure we were informed, comfortable, and respectful of the gorillas. His passion for the animals and his work were evident. Our driver, Shadady, was fantastic as well—friendly, punctual, and always making sure we were taken care of. Great lunch after the trek with someone available to wash our shoes which was nice. Highly recommend a porter. Overall, this was a fun, memorable, and very well-organized tour.

Fabulous trekking with my tour guide - Had an amazing gorilla trekking with my tour guide. It took us approximately 3 hours walking in the jungle to see the first gorilla. Those animals are wonderful to watch they look so human. Credit to my tour guide called Emmanuel, he is professional and knowledgeable. I would recommend him to anyone coming to rwanda, this is his contacts +250785019310

A must if you visit Rwanda - The trek is a truly unique experience. The gorillas were so close you could touch them (but don't do that). One person in my group was slapped in the leg by a sub-adult, male gorilla who walked by! The listing for this excursion was pretty detailed, except with the amount of gratuity you should bring. The tips should be a minimum of 15,000 RWF ($10 USD) per person. Here is a breakdown: -There are porters who will carry your backpack for you (they are former poachers who now work for the park). -There are also 4 trackers who should be tipped for helping to locate the gorillas and keep us safe from other animals in the forest. -There are two guides who provide information about the park, the gorillas, and enhance the experience. -Your Viator-assigned driver. -At lunch, they have folks who will clean your hiking boots and gaiters. Know that they will get water inside the boots! (Why I suggest bringing another pair of shoes to wear.) The park provides a walking stick to help you get up the mountain (you will definitely need it). Be prepared with knee-high gaiters (there are ants and stinging nettles), insect repellent, altitude meds/patches if you aren't used to it, rain gear, extra socks/other shoes for after, and bring your own water/trail snacks for the hike (none were provided by the guide)! The area is a malaria-positive zone, so taking prophylaxis is recommended. No single experience is the same. Because the gorillas can be on the move, it is not guaranteed how little (or much) you will have to hike to see them. The day I visited, it had rained the night before, so we trekked through slick/deep mud. I would definitely recommend this excursion to help continually support the conservation efforts of the park and its community involvement (they give a percentage of the proceeds to programs).
