After meeting the driver at the airport, embark on a half-day tour of Kigali, renowned as the cleanest city in Africa. This tour includes visits to:

Our Lady of Kibeho

Kibeho - After breakfast, depart for Kibeho. Arrive in Butare for lunch, then proceed to visit the Kibeho Church and the shrine of “Our Lady of Kibeho.” Continue to Nyarushishi Hill to admire the magnificent Divine Mercy Statue of Christ. The statue’s history began in February 2000 in Chicago, USA, and it arrived in Rwanda, the “country of a Thousand Hills,” in August 2004, where it has remained.

Kibeho - Apparition Pilgrimage Visit

Kibeho - After breakfast, depart with a packed lunch and bottled water to spend the day at Kibeho attending the apparition.

Nathalie Mukamazimpaka, one of the original visionaries at Kibeho, resides on the grounds of the Kibeho Church, across from the dormitory where she lived as a student. During the 1994 Genocide, she sought refuge in what was then Zaire, returning in 1996 when the Benebikira Sisters reopened their convent, school, and health center in Kibeho.

Today, she warmly welcomes visitors to Kibeho, ensuring pilgrims to the church and shrine are comfortable. This is Africa’s only Marian Shrine, and Nathalie Mukamazimpaka has devoted her life to prayer at the church and shrine of “Our Lady of Kibeho.”

Standard program for pilgrims at Kibeho:

9:30 am – Arrival at Kibeho
10 am – Spiritual Talk on the message of Kibeho
11 am – Confession
12 pm – Holy Mass

Transfer to Kigali and Depart from Rwanda

Kigali - After breakfast, depart for a 3 ½ hour drive back to Kigali. Depending on flight departure times, enjoy a complimentary city tour to visit attractions such as the craft market, Gisozi Genocide Memorial Site, and Kigali Museum. Engage in last-minute shopping in one of Africa’s friendliest capitals before heading to the airport for the onward international flight home.
