Arrival in Kigali

Kigali Genocide Memorial - Airport pickup and transfer to your Hotel Milles Collines in Kigali. Early arrivals can take optional tour of Kigali city and the surrounding areas.

Transfer to Bukavu- DR Congo

National Museum of Rwanda - In the morning, you will be picked by the driver from your hotel in Kigali and drive southwards to Cyangugu boarder on the way to Bukavu in DR Congo. You will have a stopover in Butare, where you will visit the national museum of Rwanda, the king’s palace in Nyanza, and the Rwanda genocide memorial site. After lunch, continue on a scenic journey to Bukavu with wonderful views of the hills in Rwanda through the tropical forest of Nyungwe National park and a clear view of Lake Kivu.

Lowland Gorilla tracking tour in Kahuzi Biega

Kahuzi-Biega National Park - In the morning, you will head for the memorable adventure of tracking the lowland gorillas in Kahuzi Biega National park. Tracking lowland Gorillas is very amazing, lowland Gorillas differ from the mountain gorillas, the lowland gorillas are bigger in size, usually takes 1-4 hours tracking the lowland Gorillas. The lowland Gorillas stay in bigger families as compared to mountain gorillas; you will not regret the safari effort once you meet the amazing Gorillas! Later in the afternoon drive back to your hotel.

Transfer to Goma

Virunga National Park - Mount Nyiragongo & Mountain Gorilla Treks - In the morning you will take a speed boat from Bukavu to Goma which takes 3 hours. Upon arrival in Goma transfer to Lake Kivu lodge for rest and overnight. In the afternoon Goma city tour and return back to your hotel

Transfer to Virunga National Park

Virunga National Park - Mount Nyiragongo & Mountain Gorilla Treks - At 11.30am pick up from the Hotel and transfer to Virunga National Park. In the afternoon nature walk and birds watching in Kibumba Village.

Mountains Gorilla trekking

Virunga National Park - Mount Nyiragongo & Mountain Gorilla Treks - After an early breakfast at Kibumba Tented Camp, trekkers will head down the hill to meet their Ranger guides and have a briefing before the gorilla trek. Treks usually require 1-2.5hours of hiking each way, depending on location of the gorilla group being trekked and the difficulty of the terrain. After spending the allotted hour with gorilla family group, trekkers will make their back to camp, enjoy a late lunch and have the rest of the day at leisure

Nyiragongo Hike

Virunga National Park - Mount Nyiragongo & Mountain Gorilla Treks - After breakfast in Kibumba, proceed to Kibati Ranger post at 8:15am, departure point for the Nyiragongo volcano trek. The climb up the volcano will take around four to six hours and trekkers will overnight at the summit.

Transfer to Kigali

Virunga National Park - Mount Nyiragongo & Mountain Gorilla Treks - After an early breakfast at the summit, downhill mountains where you will reach down at around 12am depending on the group speed. Upon arrival at the bottom proceed back to Kigali.

Flight to Dar es salem

Dar es Salaam Zoo - Upon arrival at Julius Nyerere International Airport, you will meet your dedicated Driver Guide and transfer to Dar es salem for dinner and overnight at Best Western CBD Hotel.

Transfer to Zanzibar

Zanzibar Spices and Heritage Centre - After breakfast, flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival at Abeid Amani Karume International Airport pick up + city & spice tours, lunch and transfer to beach hotel.

Full day at leisure

Zanzibar Spices and Heritage Centre - Full day at leisure in a beach hotel, Dinner and overnights at Double Tree by Hilton Resort Zanzibar.
