Superb experience!! Thanks to mistletoe DE Mai DE his availability and kindness. - Hello,
We were received by a very nice guide who was Mai.
She informed us well and explained the site for 15 minutes.
We fed 5 elephants present in the reserve with DE banana leaves, pineapple, bananas and sugar cane pieces for 15 minutes.
With a breeder and the guide we walked Siri Phorn an elephant to the stream. We continued to feed her during the 1 hour walk.
It was a great experience! Thank you to our Mai Guide.

Fantastic experience! - This was fantastic! I booked last minute but Tony came and picked up me and showed me all the elephants. It was amazing to learn the ways the interact and how they preserve the elephants and give them a better life. Tony was the best answered any and all questions and took pictures of me with the elephants! Would definitely recommend and would do it again!

Great family day with the Elephants - Very informative experience. Warm, friendly welcome & introduction to the sanctuary. The 90 minute session we booked was well planned & executed with the tempo of how it was split down felt right. Our guide was full of knowledge and great understanding of English language.
Our 8 & 5 year olds were delighted with the close interactions with the Elephants and how much time they got to feed, touch and get up close in such a natural setting.

Loved the relaxed approach - Loved this experience.
We learnt lots and enjoyed the personal touch that our guide brought.
After feeding 6 different elephants we were able to walk beside one elephant while it made its way through the park untethered. Our guide took loads of photos so we could just enjoy ourselves.
The experience left us feeling good about our choice of tour operator. The elephants seem to spend their days relaxed.
Just beware of the mosquitoes. At the time of year we went we needed loads of repellent!

It was just unforgettable ❤️ - We booked the trip at short notice, i.e. in the morning for at 11 am. The driver came to pick us up at the hotel and drove us to Khaolak Elephant Sanctuary.
We were greeted very friendly and we had to show our booking. After that we were asked to sit at the table and wait for another 4 people. Meanwhile, we talked to the guide “Tony” until the others arrived.
Shortly afterwards Tony explained to us what you can or can't do when you walk next to an elephant. After the introduction we walked to the elephant enclosure. There we each received a basket of bananas and sugar cane, which we could feed the elephants. Tony showed us how to feed. In addition to feeding the elephant, we were also able to take photos with them.
After a while we received a bag filled with bananas. Then we walked along a road and a Mahut with his elephant cow came to meet us. Tony advised us to pick up the banana and hold it high. The elephant cow then quickly started and grabbed the banana with its trunk and immediately stuck it in her mouth. Everyone was allowed to feed the elephant and take pictures with it. Afterwards we walked along the street, the elephant next to us (or rather us next to the elephant cow 😉). It was indescribably beautiful to be able to walk alongside such an imposing creature. I would like to share this experience with you. No, it is best to have these experiences yourself 🤗 It is worth it and you will not regret it 👍
PS: At the entrance (where you have to show the booking is a tip box. Please donate 🙏
The elephants need a lot of food and a lot of care and therefore every donation counts!!

A wonderful experience... - A wonderful experience where the elephants are allowed to roam and be free. We fed the elephants in arrival and then waked with one through the jungle. Our guide was knowledgeable and very helpful.

A genuine ethical elephant sanctuary - This was incredible. Under guidance based on the elephants likes/dislikes/welfare we could have photos and touch them, feed them snacks, and in our case, try not to be scared when these giants moved towards us!
There is no riding, bathing, or expectations of these beautiful mammals.
The staff are friendly and happy to answer questions.
We are returning before we go home.

Children not recommended... - Children not recommended to join - but was not mentioned before we got there.
Touching the elephants for good photos still happens - up to you to decide if it is ethical
