Fabulous day out :) - A full day with lots of wonderful sights and sites! Superb place for lunch with breathtaking views. My guide ‘Gift’ was exactly that - gave lots of information and stories. The driver was 10/10 too! Lots of curvy and hilly mountainous roads, but he knew them like the back of his hand. My favourite bit was actually the waxworks - a very pleasant surprise that puts Madame T’s place to shame. Astounding! Would definitely recommend. However -if you are not good at climbing narrow steps, and over 300 of them, it’s probably not the trip for you. Equally if you’re not into temples and learning about Buddhism - this isn’t the trip for you too! If you’re scared of bats - there are plenty at the first temple.

Very nice day trip to 3 different temples in Phang Nga region - Also booked with Khao Lak Land Discovery a very nice and long day trip "Amazing 3 Temple Tour Khao Lak" with German speaking tour guide. Pick up at the hotel in Khao Lak at around 8am in a mini-bus. We first went to the temple Wat Manee Sri Mahathat, which is located on a main road, then we had the extensive lunch in the group in a beautiful Thai restaurant on a lake with typical Thai dishes and rice, as well as fruit for dessert. The drinks are exclusive. In the early afternoon we drove to the royal Wat Bang Riang temple with extensive park and other interesting Buddha statues, as well as free-living monkeys. Since this temple is located on a mountain and in the hilly surroundings, you had to make some effort. But it was still feasible. The last temple was the Naga cave temple Wat Tham Phaya Nakarad, where you have to climb the open and closed caves a bit via simpler stairs and metal ladders. This is a bit more strenuous because partly without shoes. Once at the top there is a very great view of the surrounding area. There was extensive information about each temple. Between the slightly longer bus rides there was additional information from the tour guide. At each stop there were soft drinks or water from the driver. Driver and tour guide were very nice and friendly. We stayed at the hotel again in Khao Lak in the late afternoon. We thought it was a very interesting trip to get to know the (south) Thai religion and culture.

Any time good insights and different gems - A fabulous and interesting day to get a brief insight of culture and religion. The first temple can be a little challenging with +200 steep steps to take - but well worth all the efforts. The tour guide is extremely knowledgable / experienced and provides plenty of answers one might have. Lunch break was delicious and diverse.

A great way to learn about Thai religion, culture and philosophy - This was a fantastic trip with Khao Lak Land Discovery. A small group (8 people) and we were well looked after by Gift and our driver Run (?). Each temple was very different and Gift brought everything to life by sharing her own experiences and explaining how religion and Buddhist philosophy work together in Thailand. It was a long (and hot!) day but well worth it.

Good insight - A long fascinating day visiting 3 different temples. Our guide had good subject knowledge and good English. An enjoyable lunch in a local restaurant mid way and bottled water provided on the minibus. The only negative was an hour picking up other passengers of different nationalities before the day began.

Really great tour, lunch could be better - This was a great tour for my first day in Thailand. Gift was a a very friendly, knowledgeable guide and I learned so much. It is a long day so be prepared, but very good value for the cost. I enjoyed seeing the beautiful countryside on the drives between temples. My only complaint was the food at lunch. They took us a to a restaurant and we were given pre-selected "European spicy" food, which apparently means bland and zero spice. Also it wasn't quite enough food for the group size.

Good day trip - Picked up from hotel in air conditioned mini bus our guide Poh outlined the day and we got started First was a temple high in the rocks, 300 steps, at the start they are steps but the higher up you go the smaller they get, three quarters of the way to the cave temple there is a flat area where the temple start , you have to remove your foot ware, the steps after this are no bigger than a computer keyboard attached to what looks like rebar used in building work. You climb to the next level no more than 30 steps at max the cave temple is small but full of items and the viewing area gets some great pictures well worth the climb The other two temples were a lot more relaxed but there are steps in each one and if damp they can be slippy, it says to cover your knees and I had on knee length shorts and was ok, ladies need to cover their shoulders and knees They have you back at your hotel around five , they provided water or coke to drink, with refreshing wet wipes as well, a very informative day great guide and a great trip
