Bangkok view from the river - Very interesting to discover the city seen from the river. A good experience to do with family or even alone. You can even leave in the afternoon, there are always things to do.

Economical & Convenient River Transport - Easy to use to get to most of major tourist attractions like Grand Palace, Wat Arun, and others from the river. Docks have good signage and maps of where stops are and dock workers were helpful, as well, ensuring we got on the boat going the right direction. (They have different colored flags) 😉

Fantastic Hop On Hop Off River Tour - We really enjoyed our time on the river. Great way to see Bangkok from different perspective. The unlimited pass stops at all the top sightseeing destinations and is fast and efficient. The all-day pass is a great bargain. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and seeing all the main sights, then getting off and exploring Bangkok. We were fortunate to be staying near stop 13 - terminal stop - and did not have any crowds. The staff was efficient and helpful. Do not miss getting off at Wat Arun - beautiful temple. Wonderful photo opps too. Not to be missed, and you avoid the group tours!

Great service and easy way to get around - I had a great experience with the Chao Phraya Tourist Boat! The service was efficient, and the staff were generally helpful. However, I did find that the signage at the piers could use some improvement, as it was sometimes challenging to determine which pier to go to for the different boat routes. While asking the staff for assistance was usually ok, I encountered a few who struggled with English, making communication a bit tricky. Overall, I had a wonderful day exploring the river and its sights. If you're planning to visit the Grand Palace, I recommend bringing a pair of elephant pants, but you can easily find them for around 100 THB at various shops – just don't settle for the first one you see! I would definitely recommend this experience, with a few improvements in signage and staff language skills, it would be perfect!

Mix it up! Hop on, Hop off Chao Phraya River boat. - For an extra chance at sightseeing we decided to take a Grab to Sathorn station and walk the 3 minutes to the Pier. We enjoyed the ease of being on the water. There was a pleasant flow of people because there are so many stops to choose from. It can be a bit intense getting on and off, take your time and mind the gap, that’s a given with any boat ride. It’s much nicer to wait on a shady dock too! Sit up top and enjoy the view!

Load engine, dirty chairs and rude staff is their moto - My comment is in line with the others here who have put 1 star while it deserves half a star as the boats are load, and seats dirty and worst of all at least half of the staff are rude and impolite. Would recommend the company give their staff some training on how to deal with humans as it seems that some of the staff (not all) were used to dealing with cattle 🐄 (FYI we aren’t)

Not for English speakers - Don’t do this unless you speak Thai. It’s near impossible to figure out what ticket to get, when your boat is coming, when you can get back, etc. No one speaks English. This is a tourist activity. Should be more clear.

The staffs refused us to board tourist boat with all day pass - Today May 4,2025 at about 2:40, tourist boat toward sarthon was arriving at icon siam pier, we went to the gate but the older staff told us that the boat was not apply to our all day pass and asked us to wait. After 10 minutes later, we went to the gate to wait our boat, but the older woman sitting at the entrance of gate also didn't allow us to enter and request us to wait at the chair. 10 minutes later we asked another young staff about the issue, he instructed us to wait at left side of the pier. However, the left side is for another direction not for sarthon. We saw another tourist boat toward sarthon was arriving, no staff informed us that was the boat which was going to our destination. Finally, we asked a young female staff, she told us that we need to wait next boat. We explained that there was 3 staffs giving us the wrong information or something that refused us to board the last 2 boats. Finally, she gave us a advise that buy 2 tickets cost b$16 then we could get another boat. The experience made us a sick. By the way, all staffs at icon siam pier was wearing same uniform which means they belong to same company.
