Amazing trek - We took a trip with the Khao Lak Planner company to Khao Sok Reserve to trek in the jungle. We had a great guide named Gae, who was stunning, professional, smiling and full of energy. We trekked in the jungle while Gae showed us a snake on the tree, lizards that camouflage themselves all over the tree, and shy macaque monkeys on the tree. I highly recommend the trip.

Awesome day! - We loved the day with our your guide Gay! She was very friendly, kind, and funny, the kids fell in love with Gay! The trail was perfect, we saw lots of animals, including various kinds of monkeys, spiders, and bats. Swimming at the waterfall was very refreshing. The lunch - the variety of food and the quality of food - was excellent!! There were vegan, vegetarian, and chicken options - all of these Thai dishes were delicious! Then we went to float down the river on a bamboo raft. This was very peaceful. In the middle of it was a coffee break. They boiled water inside bamboo pipes and served in bamboo cups that we got as souvenirs! We highly recommend this tour, the company, and our guide, Gay!

Fun hike with lots of animal sightings. - Gay was a friendly, joyful, informative guide. Our hike was fabulous. We took the “adventurous” trails which were less traveled by others.

Superb day in the Jungle with Ron - What a great day. Ron was a fantastic guide with superb knowledge and also told us about the Thai lifestyle as well as the creatures, flora and fauna. We saw everything that we wanted to and had a very relaxing and spectacular bamboo rafting experience. The Thai lunch was varied and catered for the vegetarian that was in our group, Ron ensured that we had cold drinks on tap throughout the day. This was an excellent day that we would recommend to anyone wanting to explore the jungle in a relaxed setting.

A Once-in-a-Lifetime Trip With our Family - We did the 2-day tour option, and it was absolutely incredible. Day 1 (5 stars) Giving an elephant a mud bath and washing it off in the river, and feeding it treats was a beautiful memory created with my 11 and 9 year old daughters and husband. The bamboo raft down the river was peaceful and so lovely with spectacular views. Ending our day overnight at the Treehouse Resort was such a cute and unique experience. Day 2 (4 stars): The second day, we visited the emerald pool and navigated the canoes - which we were terrible at steering. It was all part of the fun and what an incredibly beautiful and peaceful environment to explore. The boat ride had up-close views of the incredible mountains of Khao Sok. Our tour guide wasn't clear about where we were going or how long it was going to take, so this was a bit difficult for us to help our children feel safe and secure. We also didn't realize we were visiting the cave in the middle of this trip, so a bit of confusion there too and we would have chosen different footwear if we had known. The visit to the floating restaurant was lovely and happened at just the right time. Pros: the pacing and spectacular beauty that we experienced made this an unforgettable 2 days with incredible memories shared. I cannot express how glad I am that we booked this trip and were able to see the beauty of so many places up close. Cons: a written itinerary with timings and destinations would be helpful to help travelers visualize the day and help parents emotionally prepare their kids. The boat ride was particularly loud and long and my daughters had a difficult time with it. We just didn't realize how long it would take and the noise made it feel longer. If we had realized how loud it would have been, we would have brought noise-cancelling headphones. Additionally, there were a few times we had to change clothes, but it wasn't always clear when and where this would happen. We didn't realize our suitcases would travel with us, so we could have been more relaxed about which clothes to bring on the trip. Overall: a very well-thought out and considered itinerary I am so thrilled to have enjoyed this trip and Khalak Tour Plan has created a truly memorable, once-in-a-lifetime experience in such a short time. As mentioned, since it was such a dynamic, action-packed trip, timings of how long certain things would take and when/where we would change clothes would have helped us better prepare our family for what was happening next. I believe these simple suggestions will only improve an already incredible experience.

Excellent Tour Company - Can’t recommend enough, the team were very attentive and made the trips we went on very special. James Bond Island was especially good. Cannot recommend enough for trips they offer.

Khao Sok jungle tour, bamboo rafting and overnight stay at Rock and Treehouse resort - After extensive contact and advice booked a two-day tour with Khaolak Planner. This was the first day (Kha Sok). We had a nice driver and guide. Beautiful trip (about 6 km) through Kha Sok National Park where we have seen quite a bit of wildlife. After the trip enjoyed a delicious lunch and then off to bamboo rafting. This was a pretty short trip. The traditional coffee (bamboo cup) making took longer than rafting. Still, we had a nice day. Then to the accommodation for an overnight stay at the Rock and Treehouse resort. That was disappointing. Maybe it's fun for parents with kids, but for couples it's nothing. It's dark and very dated. Then there are bound to be nicer accommodations in Khao Sok.

The bamboorafting is worth it - I expected alot because of the high reviews but the walk was not that special. It was 6 km in total, 3 back and forth. We didn´t see many animals and for the most part we walked on an manmade trail so not that beautifull for pictures. Doing the same way back is a bit boring. But we did have a nice swim in a small waterfall. But then the bamboorafting, it was absolutely beautifull! The mountains were incredibly impressive and the tea in the bamboocup was a lovely extra! Woud definitly recommend!
